Jedi June 2024 Week One - Fun/Joy Youngling Pia’itzi and Plo Koon

There aren’t many other Jedi who can withstand the atmosphere Plo breathes or the conditions he is native to, but Pia doesn’t mind it. With a small amount of supplement from Pia’s neck piece the two spend all kinds of time together in the specialized halls, quickly becoming a favourite place for both younglings where they can have a bit more space and quiet. They are fast friends for a lot of reasons, Pia energetic enough for the both of them and Plo’s patience a compliment to the young Yautja; but the balance they bring each other especially is something special.

Jedi June 2024 Week 2 - Advice/Inspiration Padawan Pia’itzi and Master Lex

Taking the chance to introduce Pia’s Jedi Master, Alexa (Lex) Woods! She taught him all sorts of things for opening up to the living Force and understanding your environment through it; how to flow and move with the space you’re in, to better know it and your place amongst it. She inspired Pia to respect the different nature of all things across the galaxy, so that Pia could understand his own being and his place within it.

Something that’s long bothered me about how female yautja are depicted is that they’re written to be animalistic and can turn into a rage monster. It’s so…sexist. 😩 Why can’t we let the women, the ones who supposedly run the home world, be calm and collected, only snapping when you’ve actually pushed them far enough. Why turn them into these beings who can’t control themselves? It’s such a shitty way to depict them imo.

My sentiments regarding this issue give me fuel to keep working on the new chapter of Kira. 😭 Maybe I can be the one to course correct and give us depictions of likable female Yautja. 🥹

My fascination with the Yautja began a long time ago. The first film they appeared in was AVP with Scar, Celtic, and Chopper. But it all really started when I was in the kitchen and Predator 2 was on TV. That's how my huge fascination began. I loved that movie and City Hunter (Ghost), I liked his colorful markings and the shape of his face. He is still my favorite Yautja of all time. I also created my character Khora and placed her in that world. In my imagination, she was part of this group of hunters. Greyback was like a father to her, someone she never had before being adopted by her aunt and uncle in her home world. But her relationship with City Hunter was special. They never said they were together, but after so many years, I just let them be friends.

Tarantula

Here is my big gal(9’0”) yautja OC Tarantula! She is based off the Mexican red knee tarantula. Because she was born with four arms her clan thought that she was blessed by the gods they worship.

I didn’t have time to finish her outfit, but when I do it will be based on the native tribes of the Mexican pacific coast(where the Red knee tarantula is native to).

I finished this drawing, and the whole time I thought I posted this drawing. I finished it like I think a day ago, and I guess so much was going on in my personal life that maybe I thought in my head I posted it, but I really didn't, which is weird, but still, I finished the drawing. I'm really happy with the result. His name is Ko'nk, as you can see from the drawing. Also, I wanted to experiment and see if I can do a different kind of style of background so I can start doing some kind of background for my drawings

Man, My AC went out in my house, and I literally couldn't finish my drawing because of that. It was so sweltering hot in my room because, you know, I live down here in the South, so you know that humidity don't play. I was about to be done with the drawing two days after I posted the sketch, and then my AC tragically went out, and I can't particularly move my setup, so I just felt very sad, but it got fixed today, so happiness returned lol. But this is my first scientist-based Yautja. I love him so much, hehehe. His name is Vok'tal! Hehehe, I gave him cute little glasses :3

You eventually open her up to learning more about metaphysical ideals and even practicing some spells to the point they become part of her pre-hunt ritual.

She would later make you a custom grimoire bound in the leather from the hide of one of her hunts. She assures you over and over it’s not human leather at least

Behold, my babes :D

The first is T’kânii, a female yautja from a river clan with the rank of an Elite who specialises in retrieving or killing Bad Bloods on her home planet or off-planet. A bit of hardass who very much cares for the few students who were under her wing.

The second is De’khar, an orphaned Young Blood from a desert clan who was trained by T’kânii and has yet to be properly Blooded as his training with his mentor was cut short when T’kânii was assigned more missions off-planet. He refused to be taught by anyone else and wanted her to be present for his Blooding. They only meet again after centuries when T’kânii was on a mission on Earth.

The third is Quinn, a human scientist who works with extraterrestrial life forms in secret military bases on Earth. One of T’kânii’s assignments happened to be somewhat connected to the area the base was situated in and both parties got into a scuffle. Quinn then proceeded to get kidnapped picked up by T’kânii and the enthusiastic scientist couldn’t be happier. The Elite is rightfully confused.
