That word, Baby.. Like it in the meant nothing. Like you weren’t burning alive inside.

Your held your breath. No more stalling.

Lavinho finally smirked. That smug curl of his lips that made people hate and want him at the same time..

Your eyes narrowed, heat rising in your chest. “Protect me from what? I’m not a little girl.”

Lavinho’s smirk faded. The silence came hard. His voice was deeper this time, flat, quiet, and dangerous.
