Okay, so quick thing about Yugioh…

If Yami is really just a spirit inside the millennium puzzle who possesses Yugi’s body and forms this partnership with him (which I do 100% believe is what’s happening), then why can’t Yami possess anybody else who wears the puzzle? Like, there have been multiple times where people besides Yugi have worn the puzzle (Jonouchi in the ship harbor duel, the street fighter after stealing it from Yugi, Imori in the dragon cards chapter…) 

Why, then, can’t Yami take possession of their bodies? Does it have to be the person who completes the puzzle? Do both parties involved have to make an agreement before possession can take place? It can’t be purely a consent thing, because in the beginning, there were multiple times when Yami took over Yugi’s body without him even really knowing. I dunno, I feel like that would have been a REALLY interesting plot thread, especially for the ship harbor duel against Jonouchi. Yugi gives Jou the puzzle, and Atem and Marik struggle to battle for control of Jonouchi’s mind…idk. Things I think about.

Let’s start with the posts about my own observations and thoughts of the manga, 12 new posts about it, where there is some focus on some duels, mainly on character and pay attention to it, how certain behaviours and thoughts reveals about their characters, even things which always bothered me, some attitudes some characters have and take, their assumptions on subjects... I’ll give reference to a Duelist Pride and “True Duelist” meaning, flow of the story, the main characters influence on others (Dark Yugi and Yugi Mutou). For the recent Yu-Gi-Oh! news about the new Yu-Gi-Oh! which follows the original story in the manga, takes 6 months after the events of the mangá, the story, script, character design, executive producer is the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! story, Kazuki Takahashi, so is strongly connected to what I’m writing in my main blog about the mangá, if you’re interested in reading my own observations and thoughts about clues and synopsis, the trailers and promotional pictures on the movie, be my guest: http://yugioh5ds-worldstraveller.blogspot.pt/2015/12/new-yu-gi-oh-movie-coming-23rd-april.html

I raise more questions than speculate, when I speculate, I only consider possibilities and more in form of questions. it’s dangerous to speculate about this movie because everything this movie throws at you is canon and official by courtesy of Kazuki Takahashi. For a change I feel nervous and excited for the movie, it allows me to have a more neutral judgement at least.

A Dragonship Moment

So I’m looking through the manga and I can’t help but laugh at this page.

This is during the Death-T arc. The context is that this is the first time Anzu and Jonouchi have ever seen Yuugi change into the “Other Yuugi.”

Yami Yuugi: Jonouchi-kun! Anzu! I will definitely win!

Jonouchi: Th…that’s the Other Yuugi!

Notice their faces in the bottom right panel.

I’m expecting Anzu to blush because she has developing feelings for Yami Yuugi, but Jonouchi…

All I can think of is both of them mentally going: “Oh shit, he’s hot.”
