Namjoon drabble- Y/N tells him that she´s pregnant after their break up

Author´s Note: I wrote as if the reader and Namjoon broke up in good terms, I don´t know if that´s what you had in mind haha Anyways, hope you enjoy it! Sorry in advanced for the grammar mistakes…

Namjoon and you had broken up a while ago now.

Although you didn´t talk much, you hadn´t finished the relationship on bad terms. In fact, it had been a mutual agreement knowing that the overwhelming love you once had was gone. You still loved him, you would never stop loving him. Everything you had experienced with Namjoon would stay in your mind and heart until the very day you die. But you simply knew that it was not the same feeling that hugged during your relationship.

You moved to your own apartment a few days after the whole situation and you were now living comfortably with a stable job and a fairly good income. However, you were not expecting this at all-” I don´t know what to do”-you mumbled to your sister, whom you had called out of desperation-” I have a baby inside my belly!”

“ How long have you been pregnant?”-she asks.

“ The obstetrician told me I´m two months pregnant”-you sighed. She then asked me how I knew Namjoon was the actual father and I answered that, before breaking up, you had had sex; as a sort of farewell.

“ You need to tell him, Y/N”

“ I know but I really don´t want to…”-you muttered-” He´s a freaking idol, Y/S/N! He´s busy all the time and adding a burden to his life wouldn´t be convenient for him. Besides, I don´t want him pitying me. I can raise this beautiful child on my own.”

“ I know you can take care financially for the situation but you have to think about your baby too. She or he will want to meet their father, it´s their right. It is Namjoon´s right as well”-she explained-” He´ll understand and I´m sure he will be joyous with the news”

“ I´m going to be a mother, Y/S/N”

“You´re going to be the best mother, Y/N”-she reassured-” Now drive to Namjoon´s place and tell him that he is going to be someone else´s daddy”

You had gained some weight through your spontaneous preganancy. Jeans barely went through your thigts and t-shirts, if not oversized, nearly suffocated you. Therefore, when you had finally arrived at Namjoon´s place (In fact, BTS dorms), you were wearing a nice pastel-coloured dress that covered your growing belly. You knew that Namjoon was a perceptive man; If he had seen your tummy, he would have noticed immediately.

The person who opened the door was, fortunately, not Namjoon. Jimin grinned sweetly at you, as he moved from the entrance, ushering you to step in-” I´m sorry for the sudden visit but, Is Namjoon-ah here?”-Jimin told you there was no prblem and that Namjon was actually in his bedroom. He offered to take you there yet you reassured him that you still remembered where things were.

You were grateful that your relationship with the other members wasn´t spoiled by your break up with their leader. Some of them, like Taehyung, kept texting you unexpectedly to know how you had been. It warmed up your longing heart-” Namjoon-ah? It´s Y/N, sorry to bother you but I have something to tell you”

“ Coming!”-you herad some shuffling from inside the room and you concluded that maybed he was pulling on a t-shirt as well as some pants so as to let you in. After a few seconds, he cleared his throat and opened the door. You took a seat on his comfortable chair as he plopped himself down on his bed, his slanted eyes staring at your tense body-” Is something wrong?”-he questioned. He was visibly worried; brows furrowed, lips pursed and seriousness painting every features on his handsome face.

“ I…”-you stuttered-” Remember when we had that amazing break-up sex?”

He choked on his spit, embarrasement gaining some colour on his cheeks. But he nodded regardless and smiled for you to continue-” Well I…you…well both of us…”

“ Y/N use your words-”

“ I´m pregnant, Namjoon!”-the world seem to stop for some minutes as Namjoon porcessed the sudden news. You, his ex-girlfriend, had a baby. His baby. His lips went dry and his mind wasn´t able to formulate a single word. You bit your bottom lip, an action he knew you did when you were nervous, and swerved your head to avoid eye-contact-” I understand if your career is your main focus and that right now it´s not the best time to be a-”

“ Father”- he whispered-” I´m going to be a father, Y/N!”

“ Yes!”-you nodded excitedly while he jolted from his bed and trotted towards you, caressing your hands as he took them into his and twirled you around the room. Happy laughter filled the air, both of you spinning amazed at the fact that you were going to be parents. For a moment, Namjoon remembered the reasons why he had fallen in love with you. The way your eyes were now glossy due to joyful tears made his heart beam with love and care. An overwhelming need to protect you and his child conquered his senses unexpectedly-” We are going to be the most amazing parents!”

Suddenly, everything clicked on his mind. A life with someone was what Namjoon was seeking right now. But not with anybody random…with you. He abruptly fell in love with you again yet he was scared to do something about it. You could maybe think that he just wanted to be with you because you now had a baby, that he was doing it just because of the circumstances. While thinking, Namjoon had stopped moving. You halted too, eyeing him worriedly-” What´s wrong?”

“Why did we break up?”-he asked. You blinked but thought about it anyways. Why did you and Namjoon break up in the first place? Because the magic was gone. He hadn´t cheated on you and you hadn´t cheated on him. Neither of you had damaged the other. Why had you been so dramatic? You could´ve solved the problem by being innovative attending couple therapy-” I really don´t know”

“ Why don´t we try “us” agains?”- he suggested.

“ I don´t want you to feel pressured by this whole situation”-you blurted out-” I know you now feel responsible for me. But believe me when I say that I can raise this baby by myself if you don´t have the time nor the strenght to do it”

“ But I don´t want you to raise our kid alone, YN”-he mumbled lovingly-” Maybe I want to be with you again”

Can we talk bout purpose of haegeum a bit more

I struggled so much while I was working on "Haegeum". "Haegeum" can mean an instrument but also freeing what's forbidden (...) The thing about idols… is that we don't have to commit a crime or do something that's controversial for people to blow little things out of proportion and judge us. I could never undrstand the mentality of those people. I mean, I've never caused trouble, but… Like when an idol smokes a cigarete in a music video, thee kind of things… Say I get criticized for these things at the age of 31.(...) I strongly believe it's a social phenomenon that we need to think about. I wanted to unlock what is forbidden to us. And since a world of information is just a click away from us now, even I stopped bringing my imagination and my thoughts into action. So this is my message: "Let's free ourselves from these things". Thanks to all the brilliant technology we have, we can now easily find out what's happening around the world. But I strongly feel that this is the reason why some things in our lives are actually forbidden to us. It's okay to care less about what others think. You should be able to do what you want.
