watching some verilybitchie videos on YouTube (btw she’s a great YouTuber and makes pretty good video essays, mostly on queer issues and queer media, deffo recommend her :))👍) and earlier my dad was unfortunately being casually queerphobic and was keep telling me like “oh watch smth GOOD and not that CRAP” and I repeatedly told him to shut the fuck up (ok I didn’t say the “fuck” part but spiritually i did lol) so as to make him go away and leave me the fuck alone and shit.

Can we talk about how genius the Horrible Histories songs were. It’s a show for kids and they’re out there making parodies of Adam and the Ants, The Smiths, Eminem, David Bowie, Take That, ABBA… and they made them SO catchy and put in so much effort and for what?? The videos too?? I’m specifically thinking of the music video they made for The Thinkers, which they edited to make it look like a music video for a Monkees song… and the lyrics. Don’t even get me started on the lyrics.
