Littlejohn grips pale hands of his wife-to-be and says "I do". despite all of this, Ginger immediately sends a letter, where offers his help to Miles, when he has to flee the country. it finds its addressee too late. some years after WWII they meet in Paris. they need some time to let go of old grudges and forgive each other. with every timid kiss in the temple, covered with unchanging little curls, with every exquisitely tied Ginger's tie they realise that maybe it will work out.
