to me its the type of character that you hate to love or love to hate, either is the right option. because in my opinion, he's just like any weird kid in the 2010's, with these cringy slangs that were normalized those times? like waifu, husbando, yandere, tsundere etc. i think hes a reflection of what teenagers and kids used to be like, and toby is shoving that on their faces like "look this was you once hehehehe face it"

and I've also seen people headcanon berdly being autistic, which is also interesting and fun to explore and feels more "real" to me.

i don't trust anyone who says they had a "weird kid phase" and genuinely hate berdly's personality, he's literally THE weird kid representation, leave him alone... look at him he's sad now..
