KYOGA - (WEREWOLF)

Kyoga was raised by his parents and had a typical child-parent relationship with them. His family lived in the okami section of the mononoke village, and he was childhood friends with Aoi.

At some point, Kyoga was enrolled in the Ayakashi Gakuin, a school for powerful ayakashi, where he met and befriended Miyabi, Chikage, Shinra, Yukinojo, and Samon.

When he was growing up, the okami clan suffered from civil unrest over whether or not ayakashi should interact with humans. Tensions rose to the point that many okami clan members, including Kyoga, feared that a civil war would break out. Hoping for a more peaceful environment in which to raise his future children, Kyoga eventually decided to compete to become the head of his clan. After obtaining the position, he has consistently worked to maintain harmony between the okami and the other ayakashi. Despite his efforts, the okami and tora (tiger) clans are on the verge of war when you meet him.

APPEARANCE

Kyoga has shaggy dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a slight goatee.

Ayakashi Form: Kyoga’s wolf ears and bushy tail appear, and they’re the same color as his hair. He wears a white kimono halfway open to expose his chest, a pair of black hakama, and zori. On his right hand, he wears a gauntlet with gold filigree. The gauntlet has three long blades that fit between his fingers, and it can produce a devastating fire attack.   Casual Attire: While at your home or the Mononoke Village, Kyoga wears a simple, traditional black kimono that’s slightly opened, a brown obi, and a simple black haori. In the Mononoke Village, his ears and tail will appear. Modern Attire: Kyoga wears a black jacket over a simple green t-shirt, jeans, and black boots.  

PERSONALITY

Kyoga is generally very easygoing, although he can be serious when the situation calls for it. He is very much a pacifist and tries to avoid bloodshed as much as possible, but he will fight to protect his friends and loved ones. Even though he can be quite flirtatious, Kyoga has a difficult time expressing his true feelings.

Despite his frequent innuendos, Kyoga has a very chivalrous nature. He doesn’t attempt to pressure Kristina into a sexual relationship with him, even though that is part of their agreement. He also manages to keep himself under control during the full moon, a time when an okami’s primal instincts tend to overrule common sense.

Due to his wild nature, Kyoga has several fetishes. He has a fixation on scents, and he is particularly attracted to your scent because of your powers. He is also partial to women in red underwear; in the prologue, he refers to Red Riding Hood as a “sexy woman in red lingerie.” In fact, in one sub-story he buys her a red bra as a present, and in another he is instantly aroused by the sight of her in nothing but a red bra and panties.

In the other guys’ routes, Kristina often goes to Kyoga for advice and find him easy to talk to.

KIRYU (RYU -DRAGON)

Kiryu is the son of Ryusen, the former clan head of the ryu clan who had made the agreement with the woman with special blood 1,000 years ago, and also sealed up the onmyoji. Because of this, the ryus are considered the most powerful clan in the Mononoke Village but also the most prejudice against humans. Contrary to many ayakashi’s belief, his real mother was a noble ryu from the clan that his father married after the death of the special human.

Kiryu had a very oppressive childhood for it was decided by his father that he would be the next clan head, for he is Ryusen’s only heir and that having someone young, instead of an old and powerful figure, would keep the other clan heads quiet; however despite being groomed for the role, Ryusen still acted as a clan head and treated him nothing more than a tool. Kiryu wanted to break free from that control and left for the human world. Prior to this, when he was a child he befriended the priest of the ryu temple, Oboro, and helped him escape Ryusen’s pursuit. Because of this, his father spread rumors of him killing the oracle before he went to the human world.

When he arrived to the human world, he studied from books about human life and technology. In recent years, he became an author and started writing best-selling novels under the name “Tatsuya Kizaki”.

When your power awoken, his father demanded Kiryu to make the agreement with you, so he complied and figured that if he had a child with you, the ryu clan would leave him alone and he could continue to live out his life in the human world.

APPEARANCE

Kiryu has messy grey, neck-length hair and grey eyes

Ayakashi Battle Form: Kiryu has a pair of blue coral-like horns and wears a a turquoise kimono that’s halfway open and revealing his chest, and has a black dragon pattern on his left side and the sleeves are different lengths (short on the right and long on the left). He also wears a red rosary necklace with two pink rosaries that are larger than the others.   Casual Attire: Kiryu wears an indigo kimono that’s slightly opened, a beige obi, and a dark indigo haori draped over his shoulders.   Modern Attire: Kiryu wears a blue unbuttoned shirt over an indigo shirt, and khaki pants.

PERSONALITY

Kiryu is first seen as a cold person, forcing Kristina into an agreement for his own reasons, and not considering her protests. However, despite his icy personality, he also shows a kindness on multiple occasions. He always saves her, and when she was trapped in the cage, he’s the first to approach Kristina and help her out. Despite growing up in a clan that believes that humans are inferior, he would much rather live in the human world than the Mononoke World; this shows that he doesn’t have such a negative view on humans or that he’s rebellious.

He’s dislikes women because whether human or ryu, they’ve only been interested in him because of his status or wealth as the clan head or a famous author, which is why he doesn’t form any relationship with them. However, he becomes awkward when he’s in love. An example was when he and Kristina reached for the same book and his hand falls on top of hers, he blushes and glares in the opposite direction.

He’s also passionate about electronics for he explained about each device and how it worked when he took her on a date to the electronics store.

YUKINOJO (SNOW SPIRIT)

Yukinojo’s childhood is unknown but he went to the Ayakashi Gakuin and possibly met and befriended Miyabi, Chikage, Shinra, Kyoga, and Samon. He ventured to the human world as part of his pre-graduation training and fell in love with a human woman. Unfortunately, the yukibito were against it since he was a candidate for the clan head. Although it was difficult, he had to leave her for a while and was given a violet from his lover. He was able to convince the clan and when he went back for her, she’d grown older and married a human man.

Yukinojo became heartbroken and understood how short humans’ lifespans are. He vowed to never fall in love with a human, but he kept the violet she’d given him as a reminder of his time he’d cherished with her and how humans and ayakashi should never fall in love.

APPEARANCE

Yukinojo has light brown hair that reaches to his neck and light brown eyes. Like all yukibito, he has a pale complexion that’s cold to the touch.

Ayakashi Form: Yukinojo’s hair is slightly longer and tied up in a ponytail. He wears a pure-white kimono, a pair a teal-colored hakama, and zori. He also has on a sheer veil and two rosary necklaces: one a white and dark blue and the other just dark blue. 

Casual Attire: While at your home or in the Mononoke Village, Yukinojo wears a traditional lavender kimono with a black obi and sometimes a black scarf. Modern Attire: Yukinojo wears a casual white shirt underneath a simple dark blue blazer over, and has on a light purple scarf, grey-colored jeans, and dark brown loafers.

PERSONALITY

Yukinojo is actually a nice, kind, patient and very sensitive ayakashi, but there is a heartless side of him that shows from time to time. Out of the guys, he’s the most knowledgeable of the human world but while he’s fond of Kristina, he puts up an icy wall between him and humans.

He’s very mysterious for the other guys never know what’s on his mind, and he’s generally most feared out of the guys when enraged. Whenever he get’s angry, the temperature around him will drop to near freezing.

He has an affinity towards flowers and likes to take care of the plants in Kristina's garden. He also has a notorious sweet tooth and often puts something sweet in his food; even if he cooks he will put something sweet in it which is why the guys never eat anything he makes.

Yukinojo is very private of things that happen to him. He doesn’t talk much about his past until he reveals it to her. He was very defensive of his violet that she refers to as a ‘bookmark.’

MIYABI (KITSUNE)

Miyabi is the third generation clan head of the Kitsune. He was born from an interracial marriage between a kitsune and a human woman, thus making him half-ayakashi and half-human. Shortly after Miyabi was born, his mother was murdered by ayakashi who were deeply against the marriage and his father, who was guilty about not able to protect his wife, left him with Isao and exiled himself. Miyabi hasn’t seen his father since.

He was then raised by his grandfather and showed that he great power despite being half-ayakashi. Because of that, he was able to enroll in the Ayakashi Gakuin and met and befriended Chikage, Shinra, Kyoga, Yukinojo, and Samon there. Sometime later, he became the clan head.

Before meeting you, he was on a mission to capture Nishiki who posed as a threat to you and potentially his clan as well as others in the Mononoke Village.

APPEARANCE

Miyabi has chin-length, light blond hair and slender, light brown eyes. He possesses fox-faced features (i.e. narrow face, close-set eyes, thin eyebrows, and high cheekbones). He has fox ears and bushy tail that are light blonde.

Ayakashi Battle Form: His hair grows longer and wears a white suikan over his white kimono, a pair of dark red hakama, black shoes, and a light teal rosary necklace. Animal Form: He is a small fox with light blond fur with a white muzzle and chest. His eyes are pale gold and has red magatama-shaped marks around his eyes. Casual Attire: While at your house or in the Mononoke Village, Miyabi wears a simple, black kimono that’s slightly opened and exposing his chest, and his ears and tail will sometimes appear. Modern Attire: He wears a white, v-neck, long-sleeved shirt over a similar pink shirt, dark-colored jeans, and black boots. Sleepwear: He normally wears his kimono, but in the ‘Love Nest for Two Epilogue’, you bought him a striped, white and light blue-grey hooded pajamas.     

PERSONALITY

Miyabi is over-confident, headstrong and flirtatious but deep down, he genuinely cares for everyone even though he never shows it to anyone but Kristina. He’s quite bossy and demanding toward the others but when in battle or in a time of crisis, he’s a really good leader.

He is very brazen and shameless for he does not hide his sexual nature. He doesn't hide the fact that he is into Kristina and often tries to hit on or sleep with her, but he never 'forces’ himself on you for it goes against his beauty. However, despite his confidence, he can easily get jealous if she pays attention to another guy.

He dislikes anything 'ugly��� such as frogs, snakes, slugs, and insects. The guys mention that pulling on his tail will revert him to his fox form and vice-versa which was show when Kristina accidently pulled on his tail while he was in fox form.

His favorite food is Inari sushi but he also likes yuba and anything soybean related, and loves drinking sake.

CHIKAGE - (Tengu, black winged demon)

Chikage was abandoned by his parents at a very young age and had wandered alone for a long time. He was taken in by a group ayakashi robbers because of his potential. There he met and befriended Magama, who grew up in the same circumstances. As he grew older, he was able to enroll at the Ayakashi Gakuin because of his abilities but he left his friend behind in order to become stronger.

He was an excellent student, often getting high grades but was quite anti-social with his classmates; however, Miyabi, Shinra, Kyoga, Yukinojo, and Samon would hang out with him.

Eventually he became head of Tengu Clan and would later on adopt Koten, an orphaned tengu, and makes him his apprentice.

APPEARANCE

Ayakashi Form: Chikage’s wings appear and are the same color as his hair. He wears a beige kimono and an elaborate haori, a pair of black hakama, and zori. Casual Attire: While at your home or the Mononoke Village, he wears a traditional grey kimono and a dark blue haori over it. His wings will appear when he’s in the Mononoke village Modern Attire: He wears a long-sleeved, black buttoned-down shirt that’s slightly tucked in, white jeans, and black sneakers.

PERSONALITY

On the outside, Chikage may seem to be somewhat cold and insulting but inside, he is actually quite sensitive. Before he met Kristina, he valued power and saw love as something meaningless and weak but his views change after he develops feelings for her. He first saw Kristina as the girl with ‘special blood’ but then fell in love with her for her; when she lost her powers, Chikage refused to break the engagement and helped her find a cure.

Chikage is a talented fighter but he’s oblivious to love due to his past; when he was at school, he was oblivious to a classmate's, Kikuka’s feelings for him despite her competitive nature in getting better grades than him. Also because he’s inexperienced with love, he does get jealous of Kyoga whenever he interacts with Kristina for Kyoga is more knowledgeable with women and possible can make her more happy.

While confident in his abilities, he also takes precautions than the other clan heads; He insists on taking her into seclusion to store up power so that they have a better chance against the onmyoji.

Due to his tengu-nature, he has an affinity for shiny objects and dislikes cats. He hates getting wet for if the water gets into his wings, his shoulders ache.
