5 Amazing Cities To Visit In Brazil
Brazil is an amazing country that’s as diverse as it’s huge. It’s bigger than USA and has slightly less population.
Having said that, here are 10 amazing cities one should visit in Brazil
1) Rio de Janeiro
This city doesn’t need any introduction. Everyone knows Rio de Janeiro and most people have probably also seen pictures of the city. It’s a city that represents Brazil too many.
There are great beaches, great parties, delicious food and many more great things that I’m probably leaving out.
2) São Paulo
SP is Brazil’s largest city. It’s also one of the world’s largest cities. In short: it’s a huge megapolis. So, if big cities are your thing, you’re going to love it there.
3) Belo Horizonte
Belo Horizonte is a city that’s about 8 hours north of Rio de Janeiro. It’s completely different from RJ in the sense that it doesn't have a beach and locals prefer to drink beers as opposed to the more traditional cacheca that’s popular in the rest of Brazil.
The women are completely different here than in other cities.
I definitely recommend you visit the city. It’s awesome.
4) Porto Alegre
Porto Alegre is located in southern Brazil, not far from Argentina. It’s a city that’s very different from the rest of Brazil.
When you're there, don't forget to try to meat. It’s one of their specialities.

5) Salvador da Bahia
In many ways, Salvador (as the locals call it) is the real Brazil. It’s tropical, hot and muggy pretty much all year.
It’s also slower than cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paolo.
So, if you want to see the real Brazil, this is the city to be. Keep in mind that it can be pretty seedy at times. So keep your guard up.
Hope this was useful.
Enjoy this beautiful country!

An update from sunny Rio de Janeiro
It’s been a crazy time here in Rio de Janeiro. Ever since arriving a week go, I’ve been exploring this city and just enjoying life in general.
For those who don't know, Rio de Janeiro doesn't need any introduction. Everyone has heard of Brazil. Everyone knows how amazing Brazil is.
There are great beaches in Leblon, Copacabana, Ipanema and other areas.
If you're a man, one of the most amazing things about Brazil are the women. They’re friendly sensual and know how to have a great time.
Here is a page that talks about this in greater detail https://mavericktraveler.com/brazilian-women/
Not only are they super approachable, but they're also very friendly toward foreigners. All you need to do is approach and the rest is history.
Also, don't forget to check out the popular Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer attractions.
Outside of Rio, definitely head over to Buzios as well as Ihla Grande. Those two places are amazing for visitors and they are definitely not to be missed.
After Rio, I plan to head south to cities such as Santos, São Paulo, Curitiba and Santa Catarina.
Should you get tired of Brazil, you can always head south to Argentina. There’s the amazing city of Buenos Aires, its capital and largest city.
But, I’m not finished with Brazil just yet. One thing that’s noteworthy about the country is the steak.
If you love meat, you must try Brazilian steak. It’s simply unbeatable and will put all the meat you’ve ever eaten to shame. Brazilians are super proud of their meat, so you should definitely try it.
A lot of people automatically assume that Brazil is a very dangerous country. I think those fears are a bit overblown.
Don’t get me wrong, Brazilian is definitely more dangerous than Switzerland or Denmark, but it’s not some war zone where you’re going to get robbed the minute you get off the plane in the airport.
You just have to be careful with your belongings and be aware of your surroundings. Basic street smarts will take you a long way.
There are few more things to keep in mind. First of all, Brazilians are super friendly. It’s easy to make friends, but it’s also easy to lose friends.
One of the most interest things about Brazil is that it’s very common for people to come late to meetings, parties, etc. So, if you invite someone over to come at 7pm, there’s a good chance they’ll come at 10pm. This happened to me several times. While at first, I was super enjoyed, I quickly got used to it and it became something completely normal and expected.
Then there’s Carnival, the famous event that happens every year in February.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. Some people have said it’s awesome, others have said that it’s not so great. I still don’t know. But it’s definitely something I’m looking forward to checking out.
I’m still curious about checking out Brazil’s other major cities like Salvador and Belo Horizonte. But right now Rio de Janeiro and its beautiful women are definitely keeping me busy.
