I've been inflicting myself some Boys II Planet because I've for severe Chuang Asia 2 nostalgia due to SuperThai recent debut (they're amazing I recommend) and god it's awful...

First would you like to be a bit more openly xenophobic toward chinese language trainees ? Or what you're doing is enough ? Recycled uniformes, master being harder on them when they are abroad in a different language and a different culture, not mentioning a voting system that inherently disadvantages them ... and honestly in think the Planet C auditions were generally betters... they had more personnality... The treatment they get from the show disgust me

In general, I think the show lacks the personnality that the first seasons had (I'm not a fan of the first season by any means) Haruto, Keita, Rui, Jay Chang, Wumuti, Takuto Wongki, Junhyun ... Boys II Planet got some good trainees clearly but no one like that (not on them, clearly the mnet editing's fault)

In my opinion, the best performance were the Back door audition on Planet C and the Rising Sun by team 1 but it's not as good as some stuff from season one and even full performance doesn't come close to some auditions on Chuang Asia 2 (Super thai)

Not sure I'm going to continue the level of negativity is bad for my mental health --'

Chuang Asia 2 : My Opinion no one asked for (Part 6)

Disclamers : No hate to any of them I hope they all succed in their project but I'm human I've got preferences. And I don't know any of them personnally obviously so any and all character judging is solely based on what can be seeing in the show. It's my opinion, not solely based on objective criterias.

My opinion on the final group

Technically I'm not unhappy about the final group (5 of my final 7 picks are in the group), they all have potential I just don't think everyone was ready. Also I'm a bit upset about the balance of chinese/non chinese members in the international group

My final pick were Dorn, Thi-o, YeTao, Xiong, Ninja, Shen, Tadalee (and if we could've add a spot for Koshin that would've been perfect)

I'll do every member in the order they were annonced on the final

N°6 Xiong : I'm glad he really deserved it he is one of the trainee who did the most progress in terms of performance (he was always good but he got better) and he got great chemistry with most of the other members. Altough I was surprised he got such a low ranking ! He deserves to be higher.

N°5 Shen : Really ?! I didn't think he was gonna make it but I'm glad ! I had my eyes on him since Still Monsters. I think it's great he getting to be on the same group as Xiong they seem to have a wholesome relationship.

N°4 Omar : Still don't get it, I'll probably never get it. I'm still genuinely open to someone trying to explain to me the why and how .... I will also note that I'm very much against debut such young trainees .... There should be law against debuting before 18. It's child labor.

N°7 Yao Zihao : Sooooo he was not a pick of mine.... when he was annonced I was really really really annoyed cause guessing who top3 was not difficult (it's not like it changed a lot ... ) and I really wanted this spot for Ninja. Apart from that : Zihao has the potential he is a good rapper and a good dancer (and the group needs rapper cause most of them are dancers) but I really don't think he is ready to be in a group he needs to learn to be in tune with other and to be smarter with his energy (like The8 said at the audition, he knows super high energy idols who are doing great he is a member of Seventeen, if I was Zihao I would take as many advice from him as I could) I hope he grows in the group.

N°3 Hu Yetao : Yes. I am happy he is in the top 3 he deserves it and that's the spot I would have chose for him. He clearly is one of the most skilled trainee but I think Dorn and Thi-o are a bit better on dancing and singing skills so it makes sense

N°2 Thi-o : Obviously. It's great nothing to add.

N°1 Dorn : I am sooooooo happy he got center. I deserves it he is not only super skilled but also the light and hapiness of the whole show building the team around him is a great idea he is going to be amazing.

Chuang Asia 2 : My Opinion no one asked for (Part 5)

Disclamers : No hate to any of them I hope they all succed in their project but I'm human I've got preferences. And I don't know any of them personnally obviously so any and all character judging is solely based on what can be seeing in the show. It's my opinion, not solely based on objective criterias.

My personnal ranking of perfomance of the second public stage (Ep. 7 and 8)

1.When we disco : They got an amazing team to start with. They got the vibe of the song perfectly, amazing dance skills and great synchronisation (The8 would be proud). Plus they look like they're having a ton of fun on stage, Dorn look so passionate when he is dancing it is very attractive, Xiong really opened up and it suits him very well, Ninja fits the vibe of the song so naturally, it's my favorite perfomance of Peanut so far and Dongdong also really shined. Loved it perfect.

2. Python : Tadalee !! Shen ! (They're two of my favorites trainee) They were amazing. I think it was smart of them to really change the choreaography since Python is a pretty recent song and everyone still has the Got7 version in mind. Also I know it was not the point of this stage but their vocals they slayed at recording (especially Tadalee) I'm no expert but the song seems quite difficult. It stuck a little bit less with me than Disco but still great.

3. I dream : It's my style of perfomance, amazing vocals on a soulful melody its what I like so obviously I really enjoyed the performance. Tia Ray clearly elevated the whole song not only by her vocal but also by her mentoring. We already knew Kohi was a great vocalist but everyone was great. Bianura hits those notes very nicely amazing he made such progress. And obviously Shoya was great I'm so glad he got the MVP.

4. No Way : It a good song especially since it was made in such a short time, the concept is interesting, the vocals are great (with Thi-o Yuchen and Lucas the opposite would be surprising) and I think the rapping is some of the best of Chuang asia (props to Yetao and Zihao) also the cello is my favorite instrument so I'm always happy to hear and see it. But I feel like the team alchemy was not the best and the performance did not stand out to me that much. I think they won mainly cause their members are for the most very high ranking (they're all top 10 except WhyLucas).

5.Mic Drop : I loved the energy Koishin and Lyu had for the whole preparation and performance and Koishin attention to detail when it comes to dancing is amazing. But the performance overall lack a bit of power.

6. Crush : It's not really a concept that I enjoyed. The vocal where nice but they weren't mind-blowing. All of them did not embodied the concept of the song to the same level Myst was perfectly in it when Alton Ang seems to struggle to express emotions on stage.

7. Last fireworks of the summer : The first time I heard it I though it was the best perfomance so far (It was before When we disco) on a purely technical aspect but my brain erased it so fast and it did not made me feel a lot when it was suposed to.

Chuang Asia Season 2 Episode 8 Thoughts

Python - 8.5/10

Wow the chemistry between Tadalee and Zi Xuan Li was INSANE. Tadalee brought his absolutely a-game for this performance. The whole performance was really solid, I think they all danced and performed really well, there wasn't an obvious weaker performer or anything. But Tadalee stole for me.

I DREAM - 6/10

KOHI LOOKS AMAZING WITH A CROWN. Bianura with the high notes!!! But Tia Ray STOLE THE SHOW. What a VOICE. Holy DAMN. I wish they had given Bianura more, I am bias and he's easily one of the stronger singers in the group. This felt a lot shorter than the other performances which I can't decide is good or bad. If they all had had just a bit more time to perform or show off, I think they would've ranked higher.

No Way - 7/10

NOT BAMBAM JUST BASICALLY GOING "Let's bring out Hu Yetao... and everyone else in this group." THAT'S SO DIRTY.

Asking them to make and choreo a song in 10 days is INSANE. It doesn't matter if the song is shit, asking them to do all that in such a short space of time is unfair, and is going to get the audience symphathy voting. I know I would.

The song definitely needs a little more cooking, and the choreo was rough in points.

I still really don't like Zihao, sorry to the people who do but he needs to learn to control himself more on stage and such. He's still very immature and young in my opinion. Thi-O shouldn't have cut his hair and probs took way more lines than he should've. Yuchen looks the best. But no one stood out positvely or stole the show positively in this one. The addition of the chelo though? That was SUCH a good idea!

And as I fully expected No Way won in the overall groups because, as I said, who isn't going to vote for an original song that was made on such a tight schedule even if it's not perfect nor the best performance of the evening??

I'm sorry Jeff only just turned 30?? I thought he was way older than me. Wtf. I thought he was already 30 when he did KinnPorsche?!

Also, we're already at the final? A lot of them are NOT ready. We need at least one or two more rounds imo. How are we already at the finale?! It doesn't feel right.

Chuang Asia 2 : My Opinion no one asked for (Part 4)

Current 22 to 35 (on WeTv, 18/03/25)

Alton Ang : I have no idea how he survived so long and so high cause he has absolutely zero stage presence, he has great skills clearly but he feel very much transparent to me when he performs.

Junhan : I have a hard time remembering in which perfomance he was so it wouldn't be fair of me to judge his skills. I know he was in Python and I loved Python.

Hikaru : He is beautiful and he knows it. Love his confidence. His solo stage in the grand audition is what stand out the most to me I hope he gets more occasion to display his talent in this kind of traditional genre

Sunny : He look like a manga character. I'm sorry that I don't have much to say about some of those trainees they don't deserve it but I don't rememer them.

Pray : He is pretty and why is he chinese ? Pray is a name I'd imagine very well for thai peoples but not some much for chinese people this is a bit confusing.

Jackson : So ...... it is a bit unfair to him cause he didn't do it on purpose but I resent him a bit. He beat Plengthai by a few votes at the first elimination causing him to be eliminated and I love Plengthai so my feelings took over reason. He hasn't shown as much effort as other trainee (like Plengthai who always worked hard) so that didn't help.

Shoya : I don't want him to be eliminated.... I don't get why he is so low he has shown amazing dance and vocal skill and it's probably not his apperance either since he look like Bang Chan (Stray Kids), I'll keep voting for everyday and hope that his MVP in episode 8 alloww him to climb back up cause he deserves it.

Smart : I can't remember who that is... I'm so sorry.

Duy : He has a very good voice if he had a bit more of stage presence he would be great. I hope he can do it.

Rexy : He did a cute move with Yaya in is last perfomance very good work on the performance for this scene.

Peat : I'm so sorry I'm ashamed of myself

Gordon : I just noticed him in episode 7 and the performance is was in is one of my least favorite but he was one of the best of the perfomance (with Duy)

Tian Qi :He was cute in Mic Drop

B : He did a good job but did not stand out to me

Current 8 to 21 (on WeTv, 18/03/25)

Yuchen : I like him without any extra, he is not one of my favorite but I hope he won't get eliminated (should be okay). And I really admire him for the guts he had to ask what was the standard for A-class in the Grand audition especially in front of the8 (he is one one my favorite K-pop idol but he is a bit scary sometimes....)

Dongdong : I liked him a lot in When we disco ^^ plus he is cute.

Shen : I love Shen, he is one of my top 7 (which has more than 7 trainees cause I'm having a hard time chosing) ever since Still monster, his gorgeous deep voice took my heart and his dancing skills didn't help. His relationship with Xiong is really cute they feel really close and I love that he became friend with Hikari, the capacity to reach out to other and create friendships despite language barrier is very important to this kind of group love it.

Koshin : And another favorite of mine. Hear me out he looks like a bit like Dino (Seventeen) but has the potential to be Hoshi strict whan it comes to performance. Hoshi being a great standard. The performance in which he took part were not the best of the show but he always shines in them.

Peanut : He is my least favorite in Super Thai but still great. I think the fact that he keep perfoming with some of the most skilled trainee (Dorn especially) keeps him from shining as much as he could but I get wanting performing with Dorn, I would too.

Aguang : He makes up for his lacked of training with hard work and enthusiam love that for him. And his courage to try something new by participating calls for respect.

Tadalee : He might be my current favorite. First the least important I find him really really handsome. He is a great dancer the trainee themselve say he can compete with Dorn which is no small feat. His singing voice is amazing (I went and listened cover he did out of Chuang asia 2) I think he is of the best rapper of the show (with ZiHao). His deep raspy rap make me want him to cover Stray Kids and I'm usually septic about Stray kids covers in survival show they're rarely powerful enough on the rap side (which make sense Changbin and Han are great rapper, no shame to the trainee), so me wanting a Skz cover means something. And to add to all of that he alway acted great in team and seems really kind and fun. I think he would be an amazing member if not in this group in an other.

KK : He is cute but he didn't shine particulary in my eyes ... the only time I really noticed him is when I thought that Myst should've had the MVP instead of him in Crush. Sorry I'm sure you're great.

Kohi : This man look like a korean prince (he look veryyyy korean). He's got great charisma and is doing amazing team worked with Shoya. I hope they can keep working together in the futur cause they make a great team.

Bianura : A trainees favorite I believe which mean he is probably great to live with. And he got skills he hit a couple notes in I Dream that were honey to my ears.

Wuxun : His hairs look so fluffy, he's very handsome and is a great singer. Also it might just be in my head but he feel like a leader in the shadows never officially leading but helping steering the boat.

Myst : Cute baby, he is a child but he is doing very good. I embodied Crush the best he should have being the MVP in my opinion.

WhyLucas : Great voice, really shy around YeTao which is kind of cute for a big boy like him XD. If I'm only listening to the performance he is the one I hear the most but if I'm looking other trainee tend to overshine him on a purely performance stand point.

Lyu : I like him I think it was very brave of him in Drop Mic to ask the public to vote for Koshin, show a lot of selflessness. The Maison B members might not win the show but they won my heart

Dorn : He is so sweet, sure he is clearly one of the most skilled trainee on this show an amazing dancer, a good singer and he has very good stage presence, but I think what transpired the most is his kindness and amazing team spirit. And those are very important qualities for someone who looking for forming a boy group. It feel like he is pushing everyone to the top. And his smile is infectiuous.

Hu Yetao : We need more people who play with the concept of gender in this type of group. He also seem to be a very fun person and of course a great dancer. Plus his voice is really nice it surprised me in Attention since he hadn't the occasion to display it that much in the Grand Audition. The only thing that bother me a bit is that he is getting almost all of the attention (by no fault of his obviously) and I wish we'd see a bit more content about the other trainees

Thi-o : That voice sir that voice ! He also is a pretty good dancer and like all Super Thai member has a amazing stage presence. He clearly belong on a stage and I think he has a great potential as an MC since he seems really at ease on the stage even just talking interacting with other teams and mentors. I think he still need to work on the "being a team" concept but he seems to be heading the right way for that to.

Omar : I don't get it.... Sure he is cute and he is good on the scene but he never stood out to me in a way that justify that level of popularity.... If someone could explain to me why they like him so much I would be thankful ...

Yao Zihao : I think he is a very interesting trainee. Clearly he has all the technical skills to be an idol and has a lot of personnality and energy and it's refreshing. But I'm worried he is not ready to be part of a team yet, clearly he is making huge effort but the 3-legs-event on the sports day is showing us a truth ; he still isn't in tune with the other trainees. I think he is facing those difficulties for the first time and might need more time to overcome them ...

Ninja : Like every member of Super Thai he got to shine more when appart from Thi-o and Dorn. He has shown amazing vocals in Attention. He has a great stage presence and feel like he is having so much fun. And he has making visible effort to help foreigner to feel welcome in Thailand

Xiong : At first I found him a bit antipathic but I was just misguided by his apparence (he is very handsome but seems a bit cold at first sight)and now I love him. He is great on the scene and he is such a cutie, I love how he seems to take care of Shen. And his will to challenge himself and to try new in the ep.7 is great for an artist. Disco was hands down the best performance in the episode and despite being new to the genre, he is very much a reason of the performance great quality

Chuang Asia 2 : My Opinion no one asked for (Part 1)

I need to talk about Chuang Asia 2 so here is a trainee review no one asked for.

Disclamers : No hate to any of them I hope they all succed in their project but I'm human I've got preferences. And I don't know any of them personnally obviously so any and all character judging is solely based on what can be seeing in the show

First the trainee I'm sad were eliminated :

Plengthai : I'm devastated by his elimination, I loved him in Super Thai (with all the other member of Super Thai) and in Under the moon road. He has a great voice, he is a good dancer, has good stage presence and has shown amazing human and learning capacities on the show. Plus the fact we know he was eliminated for only a few votes.... I think he has a lot of potential and I'll try to keep following him elsewhere

Lizi : I don't get why people didn't like him more he has a good singing voice, is quite handsome and seems sweet and cheerful

Hikari : He never was in my top 7 but he was so fun and not unskilled, he has a good stage presence too
