I finally managed to write down chapter 23. As I said before, it's an extra, I don't want to say much about it, but it's an epilogue.

It only needs to be beta read and, hopefully, will be uploaded next week.

[FINALE]

For one last time, Ramattra stepped inside the prayer’s room. As he walked in, staff in hand and hood on, he noticed all his brothers and sisters kneeling on the floor, praying to the Iris. 

And then, in the center of the room, one short omnic was standing.

The night before, he had asked Zenyatta if he would have liked to join him in his journey around the world, but the small monk had not immediately given him a reply, so Ramattra still held hope for a positive answer from him.

Step after step, Ramattra finally approached him.

‘’Brother Zenyatta..’’ Ramattra said, removing the hood from his face.‘’ Thank you for being here for this...’’. he paused, moving his attention to the other omnic that was standing right in front of the big yellow light. ‘’Master Mondatta… it is time…’’

Mondatta slowly turned to watch the monks, then he silently took a deep breath… ‘’Brother Ramattra, it… saddens me to hear of your decision to leave us’’

I finally managed to go out my writer's block and I wrote something after months (⁠ ⁠；⁠∀⁠；⁠)

I hope I can use this rush of inspiration as best as I can and give you a new chapter of The Thief and The Monk before June 20! ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ

You took a deep breath and opened the door. When you walked in, Ramattra was still working at his table.

‘’Hey!’’ you called him.

Ramattra put down his pencils and turned around to look at you. ‘’You’re back’’ He looked outside his window. ‘’It seems I lost track of time again’’ He sighed, getting up his chair and stretching his back.

You chuckled. ‘’You didn’t move an inch since I left?’’ you gave him a light smack on his back. ‘’You may be an omnic, but remember your joints can feel numb if you stay still too much’’

He let out a grunt, he both loved and hated when you tried to scold him. He had mentioned that he always found that kinda cute.

Ramattra came closer to you, wrapping his arms around you and leaning his head on top of yours. ‘’Did you eat something? How did your day go?’’ Ramattra asked.

You let out a silent groan. ‘’Well, you know, the usual. Took a walk down to the river and meditated’’ You nervously laughed, trying to avoid the topic. You cleared your throat and raised your gaze to look at him.

The Thief and The Monk chapter 21 (sneak peak)

Omnics didn't need to sleep, they only needed to charge every now and then depending on activity level. However, they could go in sleep mode to preserve energy. That's the closest thing they had to human’s sleep.

You never saw Ramattra resting, he always stayed awake, watching you sleep instead.

So when he fell asleep as soon as you laid down on his bed, holding you close with his head buried in your chest, you were surprised.

You hugged him, moving your fingers between his cable hair, cuddling him and watching him silently.

Something was tormenting him, you knew that.

He always cared about his fellow omnics, he always did his best to help them in the moment of need, more than once he told you about how the safety of his kind was one of the most important things for him. And when he lowered his guard only for one moment, humans attacked them once again and he couldn’t do anything about it… 

You started to feel resentment for your own kind.

Sure there are humans that like omnics, most of the village at Shambali loves them, you knew that.

But the looks of the ones in the village nearby when they saw Ramattra were stuck in your head.

Not all humans were kind to them…some of them wanted omnics dead, the scars left from the crisis were still fresh in most of them…

Could there really be peace between humans and omnics? Or are we all dreaming of an utopia? Is Shambali's message really….

You let out a long, deep, sigh, as you wrapped your arm around Ramattra's body and slowly let yourself fall asleep, not wanting to overthink one second more.

“Are you awake?” A sudden voice asked. Ramattra's hand started to gently stroke your back.

You said nothing, only a loud grunt. You hid your face under your sheets and nuzzled on Ramattra's chest.

He let out a chuckle at your reaction.

“It's morning, you know? I have to get up” he said, slightly moving the sheets to look at your grumpy face.

“Five more minutes!” You said, covering your face again.

Ramattra let out a sigh. “You always say that. Then those five minutes became ten and so on”.

You raised up your head a little and gave him a look. “What's wrong in wanting to stay like this a little bit more?”

He said nothing, as he embraced you more tightly. “Only five minutes. You know I have urgent duties today.”

You giggled, leaning on his warm body once again.

It's been a while since I last posted something, I'm so sorry about it (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠)

I had, and still have, some things happening in real life and I barely had time for myself.

So as you can guess, I haven't written anything in the last month .⁠·⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠(⁠>⁠▂⁠<⁠)⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠·⁠.

I promised at least two chapters for December and I haven't started chapter 20 yet. I'm so sorry, I hope I can do something during these holidays. (⁠っ⁠˘̩⁠╭⁠╮⁠˘̩⁠)⁠っ

I also had a request from an anon on Tumblr, I tried to work on it before all of this happened but now I'm stuck. I'm so sorry anon, your request may take longer than I expected. (⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠)

The Thief and the Monk chapter 19 [NSFW]

“Look at you” he whispered in your ear again. “I just started and you're already like this. You asked me if I thought about you these days, what about you? When you were alone in your room, did you touch yourself thinking it was me?”

You held your breath.

Ramattra let out a deep laugh. “I knew it.”

His hand slowly moved from your breast to your waist, rubbing slow circles in your stomach.

“How much did you think about it? About me touching you down there? I thought about you almost every night.” He kept whispering into your ears. “When I was doing some tests, I thought about how you would feel around me. The thought alone was enough to almost shut me down” he confessed.
