help i’ve started to ship ymir and annie. and i mean a lot.

Hey! This is a bit random but what do you think the relationship between Annie & Ymir would be? Like friendship-wise or whateva, since they're the only female Titan shifters so far. I was thinking you'd be a good person to ask since you always do so wonderful drawing relationships between characters!

As for this pair, well…

I guess you can say I broship the hell outta them. Given the current circumstances in canon, I’d say that they’re on the same side. ( The enemy is bigger than Annie, Reiner, and Bert, and Ymir is vital to the story [?] ) Both are more independent in their choices and ultimately look after themselves, and I like to think of them like antiheroes.

If given the chance, I think they could form an alliance. Maybe even a deep friendship. Lemme explain why.

Both are titan shifters, and the only female ones at that. Okay, so they both have the ability, but how did they obtain it? You throw in two people + tragic backstories + common ground + a campfire and you get a recipe for mutual understanding and respect. ( And blossoming friendship. Which is my favorite brotp trope ever. The two people you would never think… )

Ymir would come to Annie’s defense, if the situation called for it. Can you imagine someone saying something that almost triggers Annie and Ymir pipes up, “Yo, can you leave her the fuck alone before I stick my foot up your ass?”

Similar mannerisms. Ymir is blunt and will never cease to tell you like it is, and she will make sure she is heard. Annie is also blunt: but she’s quiet. ( Also, their resting bitch faces are on point. )

Friendly banter and teasing. C’mon, it’s how Ymir shows affection. Annie’s not much of a mushy person either. That’s why they click.

Height difference. All. the short. jokes.

Neither take shit from anyone. They refuse to.

Also big sister!Ymir is one of my many aesthetics and she will protect lil sis!Annie at all costs.

Sometimes I’m like yeah, Annie would totally go in the suit in the third picture for a party.

Like even if it wasn’t a Halloween one.

Forced to go to a party that she doesn’t want to go? She puts on suit. Someone still tries to talk to her? She stares into their eyes and makes weird noises.

One weekend at college she sees Ymir across a room of a party wearing a onesie, hoodie up standing by a corner glaring at anyone trying to make a conversation. Annie is like, yeah she seems cool, hanging out with her would be something special.
