sae isn't one who is particularly into petnames. in fact, he usually finds different petnames cringy. but when he's at his most vulnerable, face buried into you and arms wrapped around your waist and half asleep, a soft "you're so warm, my love" can be heard muttered from his lilps. and suddenly it's almost as if you're offering up your heart to the palm of sae's hands.

once in a blue moon, whenever sae's drunk and you go pick him up, he holds your face with his hands, squishing your cheeks together slightly. his breath is foggy with alcohol, his face bright red, and his pupils dilated the moment he lays eyes on you. "my darling, you're soooooooo pretty and you look like a goddess and wowwwwwwww. i swear i'm gonna marry you somedayyyyy, my dearestttt." and within a few moments, he's in your arms and clinging onto you for dear life. (his teammates recorded the encounter and never let it live down)

and whenever sae feels the need to--of course, he never gets jealous, but he gets annoyed pretty often--, he calls you "my girl" like it's second nature. "my girl isn't interested." if he sees another man even dare come up to you and flirt, he’s always one step ahead like he’s got a sixth sense when it comes to you, rushing back to you with this stern look on his face ready to defend his territory.

another time, when you both had just broken up, you had decided to go to a party with your friends just to take your mind off things and ended up dancing with some random guy. it was nothing too bad, but once sae found out because oliver called him and told him his girl was grinding up another man (you weren’t) he went crazy and drove twenty minutes just to come find you at this party he didn’t even go to.

he stormed in the house like a man on a mission, finding you drunk as fuck flirting with this guy who sae has never even seen before and immediately pulled you towards him and away from the guy.

“what the fuck do you think you’re doing?”, he asks you as you smile up at him in your drunken state.

“hiiiii sae.”

“yo what is this?”, the guy who you had just been dancing with asked.

“if i ever see you with my girl again i swear i’ll kill you.”, he threatens, making you giggle. you always found it so funny to make him mad like this, even if it wasn’t actually your intention tonight.

sae then took you back to his apartment where he forced you to drink two big bottles of water before ordering you a mcdonald’s after you had begged him to.

then that same night you got back together!

so yeah, when everyone thinks your boyfriend is this super chill guy and then see this sudden crazy side to him and hit you with the typical “your boyfriend is crazy!” all you can do is shrug, because you know and you love that about him.

You sighed, rubbing your forehead, placing your phone on the counter and bending down to wash your face when sudden 2 strong arms came up from behind, wrapping themselves around your waist.

You looked up in the mirror to see sae, hair sticking up from all sides, you couldn’t help but laugh under your breath.

“You look so cute” you mumbled, smiling at him. He didn’t reply, just dropping his head onto your shoulder. You washed your face and brushed your teeth, letting sae sleep on your shoulder. 

“He texted you didn’t he?” 

You went still, sighing, running a hand through your hair. You nodded looking at his reflection. 

“When are you breaking up with him?” he asked, brushing his lips over your shoulder blades.

“When you prioritize me over football,” you muttered, earning a laugh from him. It was quiet, breathy but you heard it. 

“Never gonna happen, yn”

“You just answered your question, then” you replied, turning around, being face to face with sae. His eyes trailed down your body, admiring the marks and hickies he left on you, like how you left scratch marks down his back.

He pressed his lips into a thin line before leaning down to kiss the corner of your mouth.

because, god, was he an amazing kisser. he was gentle and unpredictable— catching you when your defenses were at their weakest. his lips moving against yours like the last piece of a puzzle, slotting so perfectly.

and when times like these arised— when you sent a quick ‘hi, missing your lips’ to sae— you couldn’t help but reminisce on your first kiss with him.

which was a very awkward and abrupt one.

sae was dropping you off at your house, after school, just like he did every single day.

and there was nothing different or odd about him that whole day. he was nonchalant and unresponsive, with simple hums escaping him every once and again— notifying you that he was, indeed, listening to your countless rants.

when it was time for him to take his leave and go back the way you were just walking— he stood, silent. looking at you as if expecting you to say something— anything to get his mind off the thing that he’s been wanting for the last couple weeks.

he made up his mind when you, simply, gaped at him— waiting for a goodbye of some sort.

suddenly, his hand was on the side of your neck, angling your face up (to reach his growing height) as his lips slid against yours.

although sae wished it was— the kiss was far from perfect.

you took a moment to relax and adjust to this new found contact. after all the closest your lips have been to eachother was when you, randomly, decide to bite sae’s appealing bicep.

since none of you had any experience, you both went off of instinct— holding your breath as if scared to deepen the kiss or do something you shouldn’t.

at some point, you couldn’t hold it any longer—turning around to gasp and catch the air, that seemed to be everywhere but your lungs.

without a second word, sae turned around and left— and for once you were thankful he did. you would probably die from embarassment if you looked at him a second longer.

surprisingly, minutes later, you seemed to miss the feeling of him— tracing the place where his lips were, not so long ago.
