I’ve been working on a big fanart piece for Zach Villa this is just one of the renders for it I’m going to sandwich together, he just seems like a really cool person and I adore AHS so this was just inevitable and a even better segue from tc into more general horror related art for me ;) Though for the people that are interested in my tc art I have more tc artwork planned I just don’t want to get stuck in one specific genre of artwork as I have lots of different things I’m planning on drawing.

Hello, guys! AHS 1984′s Zach Villa has gone live this evening with Scott Thomas to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement and the racism in America. He has split his live into three to be viewed again, which you can find here on his Instagram (one, two, and three) make sure to watch and support the movement! 

Personally, due to a bit of a rough day health-wise, I wasn’t even to catch up with the livestream when it was on, but I will be watching it shortly and hopefully I will be able to comment on the parts of it that I think are most worth noting or that resonated with me (a latina supporting the BLM movement, and standing against racism as a whole) the most. Lots of love. 

PS: Though our Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter timelines seem to be going back to “normal” I encourage you all to please keep singing petitions, please keep spreading the voice, please don’t stop giving attention to this very important subject matter. We will not be done with a few arrests and a couple charges. We need to eradicate the entire system, we need justice for all victims and their families. We are not done fighting, please continue to fight with us.

This resonated for me. The last few days have been hard ones for me personally. I’ve been doing a lot of reflection both forced and voluntary, and that has been uncomfortable to say the least. I think I have more to say about the unique perspective that I bring to the conversation about race being a #POC and privileged simultaneously, but I’m taking the time to work out the best way to address that and talk about it. The issue of #systemicracism is too big to be boiled down into easily digestible social media tidbits, and it is a complex issue. So too, is the realization that my story and truth falls on a continuum of privilege and minority marginalization. Our stories are as complex, confusing, and diverse, as the people that call America home. I’m making a conscious effort to live in that confusion and have the conversations, and I hope you will join me. #blacklivesmatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd #fuckracism #unite #resist

PETITIONS

Willie Simmons has spent 38 years in prison for a $9 robbery. He had two prior convictions similar to robbery that he served time for. He was prosecuted under the Alabama Habitual Offender law and was given a life sentence for his third strike - stealing 9 (NINE) dollars. Sign his petition. 

Breonna Taylor was killed by police who were conducting an UNANNOUNCED drug raid, where they gave no request to enter. They bashed her door and entered, shooting her EIGHT times. They were in the WRONG HOUSE. 

George Floyd was killed by a police officer who knelt on his neck and suffocated him to death, after George pleaded with the officer and told him he couldn’t breathe. The officer had pulled him from where he sat in his car on an alleged FORGERY. You can also text “FLOYD” to 55156

ARREST THE OFFICERS WHO KILLED GEORGE FLOYD: The main police officer who murdered George is being kept in PROTECTIVE CUSTODY. You probably have heard he was arrested, but this is NOT TRUE. He was placed under PROTECTIVE custody because of the riots and “threats” on his life. 

If you know of ANY other organizations or petitions, PLEASE ADD TO THIS LIST. The fight for justice doesn’t end here, it will never end. Especially when the president of the United States calls white supremacists good people and protesters of a mans death THUGS. USE YOUR VOICE. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE. FUCK COPS. FUCK “BLUE LIVES”. Hold up — @zachvilla is celebrating his birthday today! Rebel. Artist. Rockstar. Vicious killer (only onstage in @jensbodymusical & onscreen as the Night Stalker in @ahsfx “1984”). I always love shooting him because he gives me such great moments. He’s sexy, edgy, dangerous, thoughtful, earnest, playful, predatory, stylish, and hilarious.
