Welcome to our page, and thanks for stopping by!
Let’s start by telling you a little bit about us.
We’re an educational start-up company based in Ottawa, Canada, that aims to teach children and teens essential life skills, beginning with financial literacy.
We provide children and youth the opportunity to learn about foundational concepts in money management and resource planning, with learning opportunities that expand outside of the classroom, so that they’re able to learn all about money while having fun doing so!
Why, you might ask?
Because we’re on a mission to create money-smart kids.
In todays world, we’re all constantly surrounded by money. No matter where we go, we’re interacting with money in some way, experiencing first-hand the roles that it plays in society and that it has in each of our own lives.
Often, children and youth aren't exposed to important money-related concepts until later in life, leaving them unprepared when it comes to efficiently managing financial obligations and making smart decisions about personal finances for their short and long-term future.
That's why we believe money management is an essential life skill that should be introduced and adopted in the early stages of development, so that children and youth can learn first-hand the value of money and the importance that it has in many aspects of their lives. This can help them to make better, smarter decisions surrounding money today, so that they can develop methods for effectively achieving their present and future goals. Children and youth are taught through classroom teaching, day-camps and field trips.
We acknowledge that experiential learning heightens children's and teens ability to learn most effectively, therefore our goal is to provide fun and interactive experiences that help children to grow in ways that they can truly enjoy and hold onto.
Through our learning opportunities, we hope to change the high statistical rate of young adults between the ages of 18 to 25 with high amounts of debt and little to no personal savings. By demonstrating the importance of money to children and youth today, we can best prepare them for their futures.
