Saw your little mermaid Haikaveh art and now can’t stop thinking about Kaveh dragging unconscious Alhaitham onto land, and instead of singing he just grabs him and breathlessly shakes him because I did all this /work/ to keep you /alive/ and if you’re dead I’m gonna /kill you/. He didn’t rescue him because he thought he was beautiful (well… Not only because he’s beautiful), but because he saw the library on that ship and wants to know what the titles in his collection actually say when the books aren’t waterlogged to hell. Alhaitham. Wake up. Read me those books.

Alhaitham doesn’t mind when he can’t speak because it means they can read in silence together, and he doesn’t really want to relive a weird fish guy nagging him about not even having the decency to drown before he had to do heavy lifting to save him. He’s a little afraid of Kaveh because he swears he looks like the guy who threatened to drown him again.

I should just write a fic at this point the plot bunnies are bunny-ing.
