(I forget that, whatever happens in the SAMS/LAES/EAPS dimension, also happens in my human AU of them. And stars do I forget how young some characters like Jack are in the human AU :( I also fixed Samuel/Sun and Max/Moon's ages in the humann AU because I realized I miscalculated BADLY)

I think Jack's trauma is only ever covered now because Jack seems to have desperately tried burying it since he got out, but now that hes basically killed someone (yes, human Jack does this, too) who tried killing his father, the memories of all those orders he was given to destroy homes and lives just comes back to him like some stampede.

I really hope this isnt some foreshadow of sorts—that Jack will be brainwashed again or something like that (possibly by that overseer to try eliminate Solar). I really hope not because, as Moon said in the ep, Jack is quite a kid inside. :<

i get that americans love their cultural imperialism, but it really does piss me off that june is “international” pride month just because something happened in the united states.

in aotearoa, june isn’t our pride, it’s theirs. martha p johnson and sylvia rivera are their historical figures, not ours. the phrase that “you owe your rights to Black trans women” is true there, but here we owe our rights to (mostly) Māori historical figures. i have the freedoms i do because of the legacy of an entirely different set of people operating in an entirely different context at entirely different times.

But because of american cultural imperialism, most queer people in Aotearoa don’t even know our own queer history. Carmen Rupe, Ngahuia Te Awekotuku, the Dorian Society, Gillian Laundon, Georgina Beyer, and the Wolfenden Association are some of our queer history. We should know their names! we should know what they did for us! but because of the power of the american imperial machine, we don’t.

our national pride month should be july, the month that the Homosexual Law Reform Act passed in 1989. our two largest cities hold their pride festivals in february and march, respectively. american queer history has very little (or nothing, depending on who you ask) to do with our queer history. anecdotally, from my own queries, queer youth in aotearoa know more about american queer history than our own.

anyway, happy pride, americans. i’m truly sorry that most of you don’t see the negative impact your nation’s culture has on the rest of the world. and to the rest of the world reading this, try searching for your own country and culture’s queer history, don’t accept the american narratives as your own. we deserve our own histories divorced from the cultural hegemony of the USA.

Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.

Happy pride month!

My pride has always been a question for me, and it's been a struggle trying to figure out what I identify best with. I won't make this long anything, but for once, I looked in the mirror, and saw myself. I saw what I wanted to be, and I didn't feel the usual hate.

You're right where you need to be, too, you're doing great. I know it's hard and scary sometimes, but I love whoever is reading this, for being themselves. Keep being you, no matter what happens to us!

This is the worst Eid I have ever experienced in my life. This is the fourth Eid in Gaza since the beginning of the war, this is the fourth Eid that I have been injured and have not been able to receive treatment or undergo surgery yet, and unfortunately I lost all my friends in the war, and I am left here alone suffering from the pain of loss and injury. I used to go visit my friends, but today I went to their tents and found their mothers collapsing from crying and grieving over the loss of their sons. We used to meet, go out and spend a good time together on every Eid, but unfortunately today I went and visited them in the cemetery and sat beside them all day crying from the intensity of my pain and regret. How difficult this feeling is for me and I cannot bear it!!!
