young people in the pathologic fandom, stay away from @/meradorm (tumblr and ao3). warning for predatory age gap and grooming

meradorm is 31 and this year they dated a person who was 17 years old. they said they had no idea and broke up with them when they found out, but i have serious doubts about this. even if they were fooled, the minor pretended to be 21, and i would question why meradorm would be comfortable with such an age gap.

i also knew the person in question. while meradorm was a popular content creator who was absolutely revered by the fandom, the minor was isolated, living with an abusive family, clearly and openly fragile and traumatized, so i dont buy at all that they were with this person with good and honest intentions. they talked on their blog about wanting to write children’s book with sex scenes in them and acknowledged children would read them which is just unbeliavably creepy.

to be clear, i think their writing of more than questionable content makes them worth avoiding either way, but i dont want to derail from the important thing which is that they dated an underage person while being in their thirties. i bring this up to prove it’s part of a pattern of them being creepy about children in a way that goes largely beyond fiction, since they wanna gain an audience of real life children to market sex scenes to

im writing this because just this morning they sent an ask to one of my mutuals who is less than 21, and i find that worrying. i realize this was only ever spoken about privately, and this means many younger people dont realize meradorm is not safe to be around, so that’s why im making this post. i would suggest that no one interacts with them or their writing ever but especially if you are young (including a young adult) please stay away from them
