whoo! took forever and a half (yet again!) but i'm calling this done now.

I didn't look at the manga much for the lineart this time, I only allowed myself to reference it during the sketch process so it definitely has a bit more of my own artstyle mixed in than the others I've done so far. It doesn't look as polished to me, but in a way I guess it's the most "authentic" redraw I've done so far!

Next is blue! Though admittedly, it might take a while, I can feel myself burning out with these redraws now, so I'm going to take my time with it. After I'm done I'm going to take a break from panel redraws altogether, but I'm still going to draw zelda stuff in general!

edit* forgot to post both versions! dark green sleeves won the poll, but it was pretty much even the entire time it ran, so i'm going to post both versions! i was using the lighter sleeves when shading and almost forgot the darker sleeves

i was really hoping to have this finished for my birthday, but i underestimated how hard that oil would be to draw and put it off until the very end. i think i got it to a decent enough point though!

I'm not even kidding,, like how??? It's been so consistent this entire time, it was at 50/50 at one point! (Technically, it is rn if you dont count mine) I'm so curious as to why it's so split like this??

Guess I'm posting this for my birthday tomorrow instead! I'll use whichever one wins, and if it somehow gets to 50/50 I'll just post both versions!

I gotta say, I am genuinely shocked by how evenly divided this has been. I was gonna just colour it based on what the majority is by the time I'm finished the lineart and shading, but if it's this divided I might have to wait until the time runs tomorrow or just post both versions.

Gotta say, I'm feeling very vindicated!

In my heart I *KNEW* it was Blue, but of course my stupid head has to overthink little details! It honestly makes me wonder how many times the incorrect shading was put on one of the Links and my brain just autocorrected it.

OK I'm more than likely overthinking this but it's starting to bug me.

Like, I redrew this panel so sure it was the first option, but that was before I had properly reread the manga. I had no doubts that was the order because of their body language and faces.

But the tunics?? It's established immediately after the four sword is pulled.

Vio has the TV static, red and green have the solid colouring with red being darker and green having black sleeves (at least he's the only one to have them consistently) and blue has a gradient.

And this is consistent throughout the manga.

Its not easy being PURPLE

one minor thing that has always bothered me is the fact that the translation somehow mixed up vio and green for this comic?? so i opted to redraw it with the correct colours (though the green and red mole could probably be switched? but i based it on the gradient used to differentiate them

anyways, i wasnt gonna put a ton of energy into this so its definitely a messy one so dont look to closely XD
