Cannot overstate how much fun I'm having watching the Weather & Climate Livestream! I'm learning so much directly from brilliant scientists and it feels like being in college again but without any of the pressure. Did I mention there's been a lot of polar content and several of the presenters referenced the Arctic and Antarctic regions in their talks? Polarheads, you should all be in here!
The purpose of this 100 hour livestream is to raise awareness about this important scientific work in light of funding cuts by the current administration. These cuts have already been devastating and they are going to get much worse if nothing is done. You can reach out to your elected officials here and tell them that science funding matters to you. The livestream is scheduled to run through Sunday, so please check it out if you get the chance- the comment section is very friendly and tumblr users are very well represented!
