I really am at a loss for words, particularly because initially I felt this climax in the story was rushed and that I didn’t do it justice. But holy shit this comic really captures what I was going for??? And to hear this was someone’s favourite part enough to influence something like this being made???? AND A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE IN TAGS SAYING THIS WAS ALSO THEIR FAVOURITE PART?!?!?!?!

Crazy. I’m blown away. I’m always blown away by the support I’ve received for this story. Thank you. Thank you everyone. But especially thank you to @juniperjunebugg and @agileo-101, if you can’t tell, when I first saw this last night I was quite literally at a loss for words

My favorite scene from Chapter 4 from "What Remains of Brutal Wizard." By Zeriphi

Last Monday Anon suggested read this Xaria x Monty fic and I LOVED IT, I absolutely ate it. (Anon, whoever you are, thank you.)

The interaction between Lyle and Guillame intrigued me, Lyle's usually docile but how frightening was he to the point where it made Guillame stuttered his words?

Thus, during my lunch time at work, I used my bunch of my sticky notes to sketch out the scenes.(I shouldn't have but totally worth it.)

I want to tell the writer, I love love love his take on Xaria and Monty's situationship, It was immensely wholesome, cute and even gut-wrenching, which I absolutely adored. Especially Xaria, she's written as guarded, immature, flawed, and it's so very human about her.

What I really really like about the fic is that made me appreciate the characters more, two ratty assholes, in love and taking on the world.

thank you for giving me gush of inspirations.

Again, I've immensely enjoyed the fic.

I’m not sure how many of you know this but when I wrote What Remains of Brutal Wizard I had not written in like. 2 years lol. These two awful goth punks just gave me the bug again and I wrote the entirety of it over the course of 4(?) days while either sleep deprived or on break at work. From the moment I published the first chapter it was shocking to me that it managed to pick up any traction at all.

So I guess I want to thank all of you. If you’ve read the story and enjoyed it, if you’ve commented on the story or any of my posts about it- if you and a buddy made a 9 page comic of the climax of the story holy shit??????

But yeah. Thank you everyone. Genuinely was moved to tears last night. Lol.

Since ur really into shipping Xaria and Monty, u should check out "What Remains of Brutal Wizard." It's in AO3. I personally like the fic, it's well written, good phasing and there are like hurt comfort-fluff stuff.
