i just realised i don’t really have anyone who can (as in literally able to) or would drop everything to chill w me when i need it and that sucks. ok

so this morning i woke up, went straight downstairs without pausing, lazed around in my pjs, and then went back upstairs to get dressed and behave as a real human does. i also stopped to check on my fish tanks. i did a doubletake at my 13 gallon because...

there was something small and furry floating in it. after ruling out dead fish, stray leaf, and mystery mossball, i turned that tank's light on and it was. it was a bat. i assumed it was dead.

it was not dead. this is regis. i had the window open so i know how he got in my room, but how he wound up in the fish tank beats me. he'll be staying with me overnight until i'm sure he's recovered (i'm not sure how long he was floating there), and then i'll be releasing him sunday night. tl;dr made friends with a bat who was sharing my betta's tank

like i mean. i have the same emotional reaction to seeing beautiful men that i do seeing particularly wonderful art. like its the same rushing whoopy Wow feeling. but it’s not the same feeling that i get seeing beautiful women, and i quite obviously don’t want to roll van gogh’s the starry night up and shove it into my asshole, so what gives

i hate that i don’t really have words to qualify my lack of attraction to men? like the language that i use to describe a particularly beautiful man is the same language i would use to describe a beautiful woman, but the key difference is that i wouldn’t touch the man with a barge pole if i was paid to. but i don’t know how to express “wow this guy is pretty” without feeling like i’m somehow ‘betraying’ my lesbianism just because i don’t want to end every sentence with “i’m a lesb tho”
