later last night I designed a cover for the booklet/s. need to know the total number of pages to do any more planning in the art area tho

Once upon a time, before streaming, they used to have this thing called "A Very Special episode" of TV shows where they would set aside all of the stuff you liked about a show, the characters would basically become temporary puppets used to make a very somber and conspicuous moral pronouncement--- and never one you hadn't heard before, it was always a simplified expression of some sentiment that had been in the regular news for months by that point. Even the goofiest sitcoms would suddenly strip off whatever nuance or flexibility their show contained to give a categorical lecture about where all decent people stand on some cause celebre du jour.

I never in my life once encountered anyone of any age who greeted the Very special Episode with excitement or pleasure. They were universally regarded as tedious and corny, tacky and vain-- even by children. Everyone rolled their eyes and groaned. But we all knew this was completely performative, and next episode things would be back to normal and all the qualities that made us want to watch the shows in the first place would be restored, thank God.

So it has been wild af to watch large swaths of movie and "TV" become exclusively Very Special, to see a whole industry develop around telling large publishers how to adjust books in order to make sure they are unambiguously Very Special, to have a seemingly infinite supply of promotional copy that contrives to make a band's every sound Very Special.

It's as if suddenly half the restaurants were serving elementary school cafeteria meatloaf.

I want to once again do that thing where I interpret/interrogate albums in order to expose subsurface meaning.  Like those things I wrote for Talkhouse

but I need your help.

PLease tell me albums that you would like to have x-rayed in this manner. New-ish ones if possible, but not necessarily. The only necessarily I think is that they need to have lyrics.
