Long before the introduction of color film, a Russian chemist and photographer named Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky used an innovative technique. He took three individual black and white photos, each through a colored filter (red, green, and blue), to create fully colored, high-quality pictures. The photo of this woman, taken by him, is around 107 years old!

Whew, exciting morning. We’ve had a yellowjacket colony in a planter out back for 2 seasons. Never caused any issues. Well, last night Husband moved their planter from the floor of the deck to the railing. THAT caused issues. This morning they’re confused, mad, and out in force. They swarmed the dog and about 30 got into the house when Husband let her in. I woke up to him yelling FUCK FUCK FUCK WASPS DOG [Unintelligible]

He put on a hoodie and safety glasses and cleared the house one room at a time like a soldier with a fly swatter (something something SWAT team)

The dog is fine. Husband was afraid she’d be traumatized forever by him whacking her with a fly swatter but that only lasted about 10 minutes, as she is imbued with the Indomitable Spirit of Dog. “Good morning! I got stung and then Dad beat me! Ooh, breakfast!”
