Misty celebrates another birthday in Opaline's castle

Opaline Arcana & Misty

The antagonistic forces.

Opaline Arcana is a hybrid of a kirin and a pony. She grew outside of the kirin village and her uncontrollable destructive fire powers scared everyone around her. Deeply hurt and misunderstood, she fled to the mountains, the dragonlands, to gain control over her fire powers and enchance them by learning ancient dragon magic. Her power grew and in result she gained wings. Eventually, she claimed herself to be a Princess of Fire and then desired to rule her own kingdom. Blinded by her pride, she went to seek audience with Celestia and Luna, challenging them to test her power, to accept her as an equal. But Celestia felt the powerhungry nature of Opaline, thus banishing her from Equestria.

Misty Brightdawn is a zebra. She doesn't remember much from her childhood, thus clinging to the only parent figure she knows - Opaline. Her character mostly remained the same, just as her wish to have a cutiemark. She doesn't know that zebras can't have one. She desperately want to know what her purpose is, so Opaline uses her desire for her own benefit.
