i think the reason "fiction affects reality" trips so many people up is because they think it means "engaging with media that depicts uncomfortable subjects will taint your soul" when really all it means is that "fiction is meant to reflect certain ideas of the world intentionally or not, and it's going affect your perception of it, if you don't go in with a healthy bit of skepticism"

We have this interesting situation where we basically no longer have privacy nor the expectation of privacy, but we also don't have community or meaningful connection with others, so we're all simultaneously both completely exposed and absolutely alone, and please understand that when I say this situation is "interesting", what I in fact mean is that it's "nightmarish and I wish I could wake up"

Honestly I don't even think we should be saving Shadow Regigigas like I know we solved the ice puzzle and freed it from Snowpoint Temple and everything but it's literally Shadow Regigigas and it's not even regular Regigigas. Like I know we all have to work together to save Shadow Regigigas from its innermost darkness because it can never save itself but it keeps DMing me asking for Vitamins and shit like dude come on
