Finally my fingers are adapted to the cave rock. Since my first try on this route, I had been stuck at the dynamic move(8th move) which had a crimp hold. Somehow I was not able to reach the crimp hold. Probably, I did not trust my foot hold. Today with enough confidence I just finished the route. I guess, this is just the beginning! I remember telling Bunty Sir, "I want to know my potential as a trainer or coach, ". Without any hesitation he immediately told to train Smita Gokhale and Sania Shaikh. Both these young girls in sub-junior category, were really strong and good at their climbing. I had accepted this challenge, it was more important than me winning a medal. Now it was my turn to guide them to use their strength correctly and teach them more techniques. After tough training for the Zonal competition, Smita got gold medal for Bouldering and Speed climbing, while Saniya got Silver medal in Speed and Bronze in Bouldering. Thus both got selected for the 23rd IMF Sports Climbing Championship. The vigorous training began, starting at 5 in the morning to 8 in the night. Bouldering for sometime then Speed. At times I would get frustrated by their weak performances, at times they would surprise me by excellent moves. I changed all my priorities according their training. I made myself always available for them, so that because of me their schedule and academics does not get affected. Gettig them a medal was my dream now...!!! All this going around, I could sense vibes that people are not confident about these girls, but with each day passing by I was sure that these girls will prove their worth. If I show belief in them and give my 100% to bring the best out of them, they will definitely give 100%. A moment of pure happiness, hundreds of congratulations coming to me when these both girls won gold medals, Sania in Speed and Smita in Bouldering. I feel if it were not their efforts I would have been no great coach. They say the student's medal is also a medal of the teacher. I believe the medal is outcome of our belief in each other.
