[False Teachers and Their Destruction]
“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. “Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”
2 Peter 2:1-3

[God of All Comfort]
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

This is the state the world is in. People would rather serve Satan than God.

⚪️“And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?”
-Mark 8:36
⚪️Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
-1 John 2:15-17
⚪️They send out their little boys like a flock, and their children dance. They sing to the tambourine and the lyre and rejoice to the sound of the pipe. They spend their days in prosperity, and in peace they go down to Sheol. They say to God, ‘Depart from us! We do not desire the knowledge of your ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? And what profit do we get if we pray to him?’

[Having Faith in The Lord]
In Genesis 15:4, God had made a promise to Abram, telling him that he will have a son of his own. And Abram believed the Lord (Genesis 15:6).
However in Genesis 16:2, Sarai told Abram to sleep with her slave Hagar, hoping to build a family through her. And Abram agreed. But Abram knew better because God had made a promise to him.
This was an act of faithlessness on both Sarai and Abram. The lesson we can learn from this is that when God makes a promise to you, you mustn’t lose faith or rely on your own wisdom lest you become impatient and try to fix things yourself, which will only lead to self-destruction.
You must learn to be patient and trust God.

⚪️Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
-Proverbs 3:5-6
⚪️Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.
-Proverbs 28:26
⚪️But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
-James 1:6-7

And remember, God is faithful:
⚪️if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
-2 Timothy 2:13
⚪️And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
-Hebrews 11:11
⚪️God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
-Numbers 23:19
Do not allow delay to cause you to lose faith.
