honestly my first impression of ig when u first made him was "wow multiple personalities, how cliche." and then it morphed into "oooh, nice nice. he's a good strong, stoic, daddy type now. that'll be good. very hot." and NOW!? now my impression is, "this soft, cowardly bitch just looking for love, wut a tender hoe." man has he gone through some transformation. uwu

....nao's first impressions were, "welp. i hate him." and then "welp. guess we're married." >u> please love him lmao.

...but on a slightly more serious note related to nao's first impression: he didn't think being paired up with ig was going to be that bad, he truly thought it was going to be a good learning experience and that ignis would teach him a lot...but then ig was just kind of a douche to him for reasons he didn't know. :/ so his perceptions really shifted to disliking him almost immediately.

progressively they changed though, most specifically when ig took a bullet for him, he began to look at it more like. "okay maybe this man is just closed off and guarded." and because of that he became a little more receptive. and i guess as the years ticked on and walls crumbled, they just got through to each other. so now that he knows ig, he knows he's just a grumpy old man that wants to rest and have the loves of his life and life peacefully.

too bad he picked a brat for a husband so that'll never happen, but.

//  i want to say i’m offended you thought his multiple personalities were cliché.  i mean  how else  when back then i actually meant to write him with all three heads and such!!  sometimes i miss it though, but the truth is i haven’t really connected to his character back then and also getting 200+ followers within the first  day  of making the blog was a little overwhelming.  partially happy we’re past those times and partially upset, because lord knows i love the attention.  also  offended you’d say he can’t be both a hot daddy and cowardly bitch.  it’s not mutually exclusive!!

but i guess i can’t really argue with much of this.  you of all ppl have  actually  seen him go through his entire development.  which is cute.  and your points are valid.  fun thing however that i’d say, is that ig never really hates anyone without a reason.  whether or not that reason is well-founded, he still  had  a reason to despise nao in the beginning.  of course, he also wasn’t very inclined to tell him that reason.  and i think nao’s excitement for his mentorship before he knew better only fuelled his bitterness because  does this stupid bird not realize the situation.  i guess in a sense that makes him surprisingly akin to talon.

sometimes he does have moments where he regrets picking this sort of a brat as his lifelong mate, but he gets over it pretty quickly everytime.  he’s an old man, he can’t keep up with his antics all the time.  either way i truly do love their development, and ig’s perception and opinions of nao have changed drastically over the years aswell.  now they just gay, ur honor.
