Dragging Ventus along with him on one of his nightly missions was already proving to be treacherous. Diluc was already worried for the young man on the day to day (purely out of friendship, he'd convinced himself, nothing more). But now, his excursions were proving to be more dangerous. The Abyss was growing more aware of his activity daily, and it was getting harder to keep his companion safe; keeping his identity hidden was another story...

One thing led to another, and he had accidentally caged the smaller man up against the wall, watching carefully as the Knight on their trail walked by. His breathing was heavy as sweat beaded on his brow, and his gaze trailed over Ventus as it seemed to dawn on him just how close they were.

He caught himself staring at his lips, and to ease some of the tension, coughed lightly and stepped away.

"Erm. Ahem. You should really be more careful next time. I'm not in particularly good standing with the Knights of Favonius. I wouldn't want you implicated on my behalf."
