Hello! I've been having a hard time making and maintaining a page on my blog just for my writing posts. How did you do yours or, should I not even take the time to make a writing page and keep everything on AO3?
Welp, I post everything on AO3 to start with, just because I like the tagging system and how easy it is to keep things organized.  I used to copy and paste all of the fic text onto here too but formatting was getting to be annoying so, I just stick to posting the link and a chapter/fic description now. It’s just a personal preference but, I always post to my main blog first then reblog to the writing one just because I find it easier that way but I’ve seen people do it the other way around as well.  On the writing blog, I try to tag things with a few simple tags, like “one-shot” or “(insert title of multi-chapter fic) fic” so they’re easy to find.  The mass post editor is pretty useful for sorting things out if you need to rework your tags.  Sometimes I do forget to reblog things to the writing blog, though, and have to go back through my main blog and catch up so I do keep a writing tag on here as well - “Mo’s writing and such”.  If you have everything on AO3, I don’t think you absolutely need to have it organized on here.  If anyone happens across one of your writing posts and wants to see more, they have everything they need with just one link to any chapter or fic on AO3.That said, there are some benefits to keeping up a writing blog.  It helps if you want things to be easier for people to find for the sake of reblogs.  It’s also good in case someone wants to follow you specifically for your writing.  They can always choose to follow just that blog or even get notifications for it.  It helps if you have other things related to your writing as well, like audio, video, or art posts.  Also, personally, I just like having everything on one blog because it’s easier for me to compartmentalize things that way.  It helps if I can see it all in one place that’s specifically created for it. Anyway, hope some of that was helpful!  Best of luck to you!
