Situated in the well-known Caldecott region of central Singapore, this bungalow by A D Lab enjoys the relaxed atmosphere of its quaint residential neighbourhood with gorgeous views of the MacRitchie Reservoir, one of the nation’s most popular nature reserves. The architects, however, had to contend with the site’s proximity to a busy highway, that although is not visible from the site, creates a significant amount of noise. The undulating terrain of the neighbourhood is quite unusual in Singapore, and creates a streetscape whereby the plots of land are about a storey below the street level. As such, each house along the street is entered from the second storey level. The architects took advantage of this unusual situation to lower most of the communal facilities down into a sunken court that shields them from the noise of the highway, as well as heightens the level of privacy and intimacy of the house.

From the external entrance of the house, the architectural expression is very understated. The architects kept the built form above street level as ground-hugging as possible by making the roofs appear as folds and peels in the landscape. This understated expression is further assisted by the folding of the roof downward toward the outer edges of the house. The internal spatial expression of this tilting roof form gives the opposite experience, whereby the entrance to the spaces are low and rise upward from the entry, creating the sensation of an enlarging, grand internal room that simultaneously leads the eyes upward to the sky, as well as downward to the intimate central courtyard below. The undulating and folding roof form is covered in turf, further defining it as a continuation of the surrounding green landscape. At certain locations, the roof folds up from the earth level to allow wind and light into the sunken courtyard.

In another move to increase privacy, A D Lab encircles the main rooms at all levels with circulation space that acts as noise buffers. The corridors and staircases wrap around the outer perimeter of the house, focusing the view from the rooms towards the central courtyard, as well as creating a sense of drama about the movement of a person through the house. The “viewer” moves through the house via these corridors that are at times hidden hallways behind the rooms and at other times open out to theatrical balcony-like spaces that view down to the garden and main living spaces.

The owner lives in this house with his parents, so this network of hidden and detached corridors allows the inhabitants the flexibility of moving around the house either subtly or in full view depending on the varying social situation and need for privacy. The central courtyard is a private and serene oasis. A luxurious swimming pool cools the courtyard along with a series of indoor and outdoor water features that separate the main public rooms from each other and bring the pool element into the house itself.

Esta institución divide sus préstamos en los siguientes 4 esquemas:

Hipoteca Fuerte: préstamos para adquirir vivienda, remodelar o construir, así como para mejorar tu hipoteca. Puedes combinarlo con el crédito Cofinavit, en caso de que cuentes con éste. La tasa anual fija de este crédito es desde 9.85% y se otorga según tu comportamiento crediticio.

Meow-llo Dear Furiends, it’s time once again fur Blest Sunday. There’s only 11 days left till Thanksgiving, can you believe it? Even closer still is me’s 10th Gotchaday. Yep, me’s been Blest to have mommy fur 10 whole years now. Me thinks me made a purretty good choice.

Ya’ know sissy, mommy had a little somethin’ to do with that too. After all, ifin she hadn’t showed up to check you out, ya’ never could’ve picked her.

Kochi – 10 Dinge die du in Kochi unternehmen kannst

Kochi ist eine Stadt, nördlich im indischen Bundesstaat Kerala. Dieser besticht durch seine unglaubliche Landschaft, vielen Kolonialbauten und hilfsbereiten Menschen. Ich habe mich sofort in den südlichen Bundestaat verliebt. In Kochi hatte ich das Gefühl, dass dies ein anderes Indien ist, als das, was ich zuvor kennengelernt habe. Wenn ich es mit Rajasthan vergleiche, dann ist Kochi eine andere Welt. Es herrscht ein tropisches Klima und sogar die Sprache ist eine komplett andere. Die Straßen sind vergleichsweise sauber und es schien mir generell moderner zu sein. Zuvor habe ich oft gehört, dass es als „das leichte“ Indien bezeichnet wird. Auch ich würde jedem als Einstieg Kerala empfehlen, da hier der Kulturschock nicht so groß sein wird wie in anderen Teilen Indiens.

Wer als Tourist nach Kochi kommt, der bleibt meist in Fort Kochi. Hier gibt es unzählige Homestays, von denen viele ein sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis haben. Es gibt natürlich auch ein paar Hostels, Hotels und viel zu entdecken. Hier sind 10 Dinge, die man in Kochi auch in kurzer Zeit sehen kann.

1. Chinesische Fischernetze

Eine bekannte Touristenattraktion in Fort Kochi sind die Chinesischen Fischernetze. In der Tat habe ich solche Fischernetze vorher noch nie gesehen. Gegen etwas Trinkgeld sind die Fischer auch gerne bereit den Touristen ihre Arbeit zu erklären. Vor allem sollte man sich den Sonnenuntergang von dort aus nicht entgehen lassen.

2. Die Strandpromenade

Die Promenade entlang des arabischen Meeres liegt gleich neben den bekannten Fischernetzen. Hier gibt es Restaurants und kleine Marktstände. Die Promenade erstreckt sich entlang des Mahatma Ghandi Strandes. Allerdings ist dies kein Strand der zum Schwimmen einlädt. Leider ist auch dieser, wie viele andere Stadtstrände in Indien, sehr vermüllt. Aber auch auf Grund der Strömungen und Wellen würde ich hier vom Schwimmen abraten. Einen Spaziergang sollte man sich allerdings nicht entgehen lassen.

Wer durch die Straßen von Fort Kochi schlendert kann viele kleine Kaffes entdecken. Es gibt außerdem viele Galerien oder „Art Cafes“. An den Häusern lässt sich die Geschichte der Kolonialzeiten erkennen. Hier gibt es sowohl portugisische wie auch englische und holländische Einflüsse.

4. Ein Ausflug in die Bachwaters

Ein Ausflug in die sogenannten Backwaters ist ein absolutes Muss wenn man in Kerala ist. Fort Kochi ist ein beliebter Ausgangspunkt für so eine Bootstour. Ich habe eine Tagestour gewählt. Es gibt aber auch die Möglichkeit eine Nacht in einem Hausboot zu übernachten.

5. Dutch Palace / Mattancherry-Palast

Der Palast wurde von der portugisischen Besatzungsmacht im 16. Jahrhundert erbaut und ca. 100 Jahre später von den Holländern renoviert. Der Dutch Palace befindet sich im Stadtteil Mattancherry.

6. Ein Besuch in der Ingwer- und Gewürz Fabrik

In den Straßen von Fort Kochi warten oft viele Tuktuk Fahrer, die dir die Stadt zeigen wollen. Ein Ausflugsziel ist das Gebäude der Ingwer Halle. Hier kannst du sehen wie Ingwer bearbeitet und getrocknet wird. Auch Pfeffer wird hier verarbeitet. Natürlich hat man auch die Möglichkeit Ingwer Produkte und andere Gewürze zu kaufen.

7. Die Santa Cruz Basilica

In dieser Kirche spiegelt sich auch wieder die Kolonialgeschichte von Kerala wieder. Denn aufgrund dieser gibt es hier sehr viele Christen. Vor allem an Feiertagen wird die Kirche mit vielen Lichterketten beleuchtet. Die Santa Cruz Basilica ist in jedem Fall einen Besuch wert.

8. Tempel

Neben Kirchen gibt es selbstverständlich auch viele Tempel zu besichtigen. Wie beispielsweise der Jain Tempel in Mattancherry oder der Siva Tempel.

9. Restaurants

In Fort Kochi gibt es unzählige Restaurants. Vor allem Seafood Fans kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. An der Strandpromenade und deren Umgebung reihen sich Seafood Restaurants aneinander. Auch in der Princess Street, gibt es viele Möglichkeiten, sehr gutes Essen zu bekommen.

Wer mehr über die Kolonialgeschichte von Kochi erfahren möchte, sollte unbedingt das Indo-Portugisische Museum besuchen.

Da es nicht der erste Besuch auf der Landesgartenschau ist, zieht es uns zunächst zum Aussichtsturm, ist doch der ehemalige Förderturm von Schacht 1 des RAG Bergwerks West (ehemals Zeche Friedrich Heinrich) endlich für Besucher zugänglich. Der Förderturm ist ebenso wie das benachbarte Fördergerüst von Schacht 2 (er diente der Personen-Seilfahrt) 2019 saniert worden. Beide werden als Teil des Zechenparks dauerhaft erhalten bleiben. Die Warteschlange ist an einem Wochentag recht kurz, obwohl es natürlich auch hier Corona-bedingt Zugangsbeschränkungen gibt. Knappe 30 Sekunden dauert die Fahrt mit dem Aufzug auf 66 Meter Höhe: In der Maschinenhalle des 79 Meter hohen Turms stehen zwei Fördermaschinen, die die Kohle aus 600 Metern Tiefe zu Tage holten. Rund um das Gebäude befindet sich an dieser Stelle die Aussichtsplattform. Der Ausblick über den heutigen Zechenpark, das Landesgartenschau-Gelände, aber auch die Umgebung rund um Kamp-Lintfort ist die 5 Euro extra pro Person auf jeden Fall wert. Man guckt von da oben sogar bis nach Duisburg. Panoramabilder an jeder der vier Seiten weisen auf die erkennbaren Highlights der Umgebung hin.

Fast zwei Monate nach ihrem (verspäteten) Start kann die Landesgartenschau Kamp-Lintfort 2020 nun bis auf Großveranstaltungen fast ihr komplettes Programm anbieten, auch wenn es Corona-bedingt nach wie vor gewisse Einschränkungen gibt. Dennoch locken Zechenpark und Ausstellungsbereiche viele Zuschauer an: Schon vorletzte Woche konnte man den 200.000sten Besucher begrüßen. Wer alles mitnehmen will, was die Landesgartenschau zu bieten hat, muss schon mehrfach vorbei kommen. Zu den Einschränkungen zählt allerdings auch, dass Programme im Vorfeld geplant werden sollten: Die anderthalb-stündigen Führungen im Kamper Gartenreich oder im Zechenpark finden unter Voranmeldung mit bis zu 20 Personen statt. Führungen im Lehrstollen finden zur Zeit mit maximal 5 Personen statt, täglich außer dienstags und donnerstags. Für die Buchung wendet man sich an die Fördergemeinschaft für Bergbautradition (https://www.bergmannstradition.de/): Diese Führungen sind zwar im Preis inklusive, aber nicht über die Landesgartenschau direkt buchbar. Die Führungen machen ehemalige Bergleute, Ehrenamtliche der Fördergemeinschaft. Das Infozentrum Stadt und Bergbau (am Lehrstollen) hat täglich bis 18 Uhr geöffnet.

Bis zum 11. Oktober wird die Landesgartenschau 2020 geöffnet sein. Die Kassen sind täglich vom 9 bis 19 Uhr besetzt, verweilen kann man auf dem Gelände bis zum Einbruch der Dunkelheit (maximal 21 Uhr). Im Kassen-/Eingangsbereich ist ein Mund-Nasen-Schutz erwünscht, weil sich hier Leute schon mal etwas näher kommen können. Tageskarten gibt es für 18,50 Euro für Erwachsene (ermäßigt 14 Euro, Kinder 2 Euro, Gruppen ab 15 Personen 16,50 Euro pro Person). Weitere Infos gibt es hier: https://kamp-lintfort2020.de/tickets-and-shop/tickets/. Die Turmfahrt kostet extra (5 Euro). Die Pendelbahn zur Haltestelle am Zechenpark verkehrt am Wochenende mit Fahrten von und nach Duisburg-Hauptbahnhof, außerdem gibt es Shuttlebusse (hier gelten jeweils die Bedingungen des ÖPNV, will heißen: Mund-Nase-Schutz ist Pflicht). Parkplätze stehen auf einem großen Areal neben dem LaGa-Gelände an der Friedrich-Heinrich-Allee kostenlos zur Verfügung. Über dem gestalteten Wandelweg vom Norden des LaGa-Geländes geht es gute zwei Kilometer weit zum Kamper Gartenreich am Kloster Kamp, welches ebenfalls zu LaGa gehört.

Besucher müssen sich an die folgenden Regeln halten, damit die Landesgartenschau Kamp-Lintfort 2020 geöffnet bleiben kann und es nicht zu weiteren Einschränkungen oder gar zur Schließung der Landesgartenschau kommt. Gäste werden freundlich und bestimmt durch Service- und Ordnerkräfte auf diese Regeln hingewiesen:

Überall im Park gilt ein Abstandsgebot von mindestens 1,5 Metern (Besucher können alleine, zu zweit oder als Besuchergruppe von maximal 20 Personen spazieren gehen oder Sport treiben).

Bei Erholungspausen auf Wiesen und Freiflächen gilt ein Mindestabstand von 5 Metern zu anderen Besuchern/Besuchergruppen, as Picknicken ist mit Corona-Abstand auf den Wiesenflächen erlaubt.

Die Gastronomie-Standorte sind alle geöffnet. Auch hier gelten die jeweiligen Coronaschutzverordnungen mit Abstandsregelnn, Maskenpflicht und Aufnahme der Kontaktdaten.

In geschlossenen Räumen / Pavillons gibt es Besucherobergrenzen laut der jeweiligen Beschilderung. In der Blumenhalle dürften sich gleichzeitig bis zu 75 Gäste aufhalten. Für das Infozentrum Stadt und Bergbau (Lehrstollen) gilt eine Obergrenze von 7 Personen.

In allen geschlossenen Räumen / Pavillons, in der Blumenhalle, an den Pagoden des Gärtnermarkts und im Shuttlebus ist das Tragen eines Mund-/Nasen-Schutzes Pflicht.

Abgesperrte Bereiche dürfen nicht betreten werden, Wegemarkierungen und Einbahnstraßenregelungen (z. B. im Streichelzoo KALISTO (Kamp-Lintforter Spiel- und Tieroase), der Blumenhalle oder dem Aussichtsturm) müssen befolgt werden.
