Mal was nervous but glad she didn’t want him to go away just yet, it gave him hope that he could still be part of her life and her baby’s even if her brother wouldn’t be–and she had been a good friend of sorts. That was what he was going for anyway.
“Really? I thought you’d be resting already with the date so close now,” Mal frowned a bit as he escorted her back to his truck and held the door opened for her. “I’d like that,” he added with a small smile. “Actualy, I know this bakery that has great desserts and stuff if you want something like that. Oh, and their strudel is just amazing.”
Cassandra smiled but shrugged at him. “The last time I was. But this time, I’ve been feeling a little more restless. I like staying busy.” She admits. It helped for her to have something to keep her distracted from her anxieties.
The blonde thanking him quietly as she got into the car, rolling her eyes at herself over how much effort it now took for her to complete such a simple task, she was looking forward to being able to do things again once she gave birth. “That actually sounds like a wonderful idea.”
