´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      she’s a little light headed.  it’s not uncommon for her to pretty much pass out right after shifting somewhere new.  ellie just didn’t like that it was in an alleyway  ,  that it was pretty much pitch black  ,  save for a sliver of moonlight and the street lamp at the end of the alleyway illuminating the area AND there was someone who looked like a  ,  tall bat watching her just a couple of feet away from her.  “  oh  -  oh hey.  ”  ellie tried her best to sound coherent  ,  as her body practically slammed into the brick wall.  “  you didn’t happen to be here when i wasn’t right ?  ”

´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      this wasn’t the first time she had shifted in her sleep.  it wasn’t common but it was unusual.  her head killed and her back felt even worse  -  it took her a couple of seconds for her eyesight to focus  ,  noticing the bunch of hay surrounding her and the sudden smell of a barn.  it wasn’t until a voice startled her properly awake.  trying her best to sit up right (trying not to fall through the pile of hay)  ,  ellie spots the ... bull just to her left.  her mouth dropped open but the splitting pain spliced across the front of her head and she groaned  ,  causing her to curl inward  ,  a hand pressing tightly against her forehead.  “  t-thanks.  ”  ellie stumbled over her word.  “  y-you didn’t have to do that.  ”

´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      she doesn’t mean to stare.  ellie’s been working non stop for the last twelve hours.  one of her workers at the bakery had called in sick.  and of course the weekend was one of her busiest times.  “  i’m sorry...  ”  she said to the man on the other side of the counter  ,  shaking her head slightly.  “  i don’t mean to stare ...  ”  he was very rather familiar.  like she’d seen him before.  but that couldn’t be  -  considering she’d visited the sixties only last week and was already back home.  “  you just look like someone  ...  i’d seen before.  ”

´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      lips pull into a sad smile  as ellie sits herself down on the ground next to charlie.  her bakery wasn’t exactly in prime real estate (further into the city)  ,  but she was certainly close enough to the few clubs  ,  pubs and restaurants that many patrons would come in after dark for something sweet and/or savoury to eat in order to settle their stomach.  which means that ellie would always close closer to midnight on the weekend.

                         it hadn’t taken ellie too long to notice charlie’s tall form wandering close to the entrance  ,  only for him to turn around  ,  stumble and sit down on the pavement.  a soft laugh left the brunette as she leaned against the taller man’s shoulder.  “  you wanna come inside  ?  ”  ellie asked.  “  give you something for your stomach  ?  ”

* .  ♡             “ is that so ? ”  came her question.  eyes hadn’t opened to look at the shadow entity  ,  but she could tell that he was lingering in the corner of her room.  she had gotten used to waking up in the middle of the night and seeing badru’s eyes looking her way from any part of her room.  it had scared the shit out of her early on but that feeling had slowly started to fade and now it was welcomed.  like he was looking out for her  -  watching over her as she slept.  god only knows what night terrors he’s witnessed her have.

                           turning over in bed  ,  eyes opened slowly  -  now that she was facing him.  “ tell me about him ? ” the clock on her bedside table said 1:35 am  ,  but she couldn’t really fall back asleep.

* .  ♡             hand is immediately grabbing onto his gloved one. body stepping closer to @bcneheaded​. other hand comes up and she starts to bite at her nails. “ i’ve got no where else to go... ” there were times that her ability to shift would take her to the most wonderful of places. to the most brilliant of times. other times it would would fuck her over and leave her in some of the most precarious of circumstances. like right now. she didn’t know HOW a skeleton could be walking and talking and looking impeccably well dressed but here she was. she was only so relaxed for the moment because he was doing his best to look after her. “ what even was that ? ” danger followed her like a shadow. she was just lucky that he was there to save her.
