on bed rest, so character thoughts.. ! clowns first, although I do have some xianne thoughts. basically all of these are violence related, which is not typically a focus of mine, but y'know. sometimes

recently latched onto a poison gas concept with galette. really love the idea of oxygen or filter masks popping out of thin air, like emergency masks on a plane, for the rest of the crew

also constantin losing an arm and being so nonchalant as to swallow it, and because clowns are absurdist reality bending beings her arm just pops back out of the bloody socket whole again. altho king is also the type to just beat someone with kings dismembered arm.

separate but related, I got new clowns in my dreams recently. although I had the impression these weren't "fallen," demonic, or otherwise eldritch clowns like constantin's group is — so technically angelically aligned. angelical cats clowns. one of them was just, like... a small floating head in a cap. and a delightful fella. anyways, the group were radical anarchist clowns that had just overthrown (assassinated, really) a tyrannical aristocracy of talking dogs. which they buried and then blew up with dynamite. yeah.

in other news, when I was writing more of côm's description and trying to think of positive traits (difficulty level: hard), one of my friends said "sexy." and look. just hear me out JUST LISTEN —

so my brain is definitely in the clown zone cus I was working on a profile for constantin for a discord i'm in with friends last night. here have constantin's full description :o)

Constantin is broad, muscular, and tall, with a mane of long, curly red hair; occasionally has braids. Pale skinned as if with paint, king often sports menacing gazes punctuated by white pupilless eyes that are ringed; has a needlelike, pointed nose that's multicolored like apple candies. Wears a sleeveless, bright patterned jumpsuit and little else; prefers to be barefoot, sometimes wears fun shaped nipple pasties. Makeup varies, but he goes for sharp edges instead of curves or circles. (eg. sunbursts, stars, triangles, winged eyeliner)

constantin is actually a ✧⁠*⁠。h e l l m o u t h ✧⁠*⁠。 and, aside from being able to swallow someone whole — or crunch them in half, what these means is whenever a job is completed she just spits out someone from "upper" management and says PAY UP, and they hate it. they hate him

because of lazare the whole troupe knows and uses sign, but in a mixture of languages. some of it is unique to them as a code language and you have to be around them often to pick up on it

notably, lazare isn't mute. he's nonverbal and learned sign over forced verbalizing

côme constantin, aka chef or un, is the leader of lazare's posse. she's the largest at 6'9" and built like a tank. he's trans masculine (he/her pronouns) and typically has his titties out. she's brains, brawns and beauty all in one. could break you like a twig. has the least demonic features despite being morally bankrupt. still a creepy clown. thank you for coming to my 1am EST ted clown talk

past my bed time, can't sleep. thinking about côme. côme who is ambitious. it's really odd because I favor ambitious characters but rarely write any myself

although her exact ambition remains nebulous, as it tends to go with newly met characters of mine. côme and the rest of his gang aren't even a year old yet, they're my newest, and i'm SO slow with development

I don't plan to fit côme onto the roster (officially) because I won't go past 10 OCs, but if I did put him on there it might read something like

‘abrasive but proficient, constantin is a hellmouth unbound by inhibitions. a clown with many an iron in the unceasing fire, to the chagrin of her devilish employers.’
