Today had been a loooong day. Haven usually didn’t mind their new job. They loved people and loved little kids even more! They loved the theme park and everything about being the ‘princess’ of said park too. In most cases, they were a naturally social creature. So getting to walk around and play make-believe all day was like a dream come true for them!

But that still didn’t mean the job couldn’t be.. Tiring after a while.

They gave a long yawn and a stretch as they drug their way back towards their dressing room. And they only stopped when they noticed Fizzarolli a few feet away from them.

Then, whatever exhaustion they may have been experiencing before, seemed to melt away momentarily, in favor of hurrying over to the robot and immediately giving him a hug from behind.

“Hi hi sweet fizzy fishy mine! Have missed this day!”

Granted they DID see him earlier this morning but shh.

There had been an alarming lack of Haven’s presence after their last show of the day.  The siren had gone out to walk around the park and take pictures with some of the kids- but then it seemed as if they were just gone.

It wasn’t until after the park had actually closed for the night that Haven appeared again. Though now it was clear why they’d seemingly gone away before..

The siren was in tears as they came into the tent where Fizz and Mammon stayed. And as soon as they can, they drag their feet over to the robot and bury their face in him with a shaky sniffle.

It was now that they were close that the problem seemed to show itself. 

Stuck in Haven’s hair was a huge purple wad... Of gum.

Some child, or immature adult, had gotten close enough to shove gum in the siren’s hair. And by the way it was knotted up- it was clear that Haven had been struggling to get it out for quite some time.

“Ooone... Twoo-- Threeee, four.”

The siren counted aloud to themselves as they stepped and moved to a silent rhythm. It’s only when they go to turn in a circle, and start to begin again- that they trip and stumble over their own feet. 

An annoyed noise escapes them after this, and they give a stomp, fins flaring and cheeks puffed out before they plop down on the stage now with a pout.

“Is too hard! Havie bad at dance...”

Dancing or being coordinated in any fashion tended to be difficult for a clumsy fish, but they were trying so hard to make Fizz and Mammon happy. They wanted to get it right.

“Fizzy..? Can take break?”

Suddenly they grab their own foot, raising it up slightly before making a silly deep voice for said foot. Shaking it a little at him as ‘it’ spoke.

“Am tiored- keep doin’ the slips and oopsies!”
