i think what i love the most about dina is how much a natural nurturer she is. despite everything. like yes she could kill you in a second, knows her way around weapons, etc etc but behind all of that she's so gentle. so nurturing. that scene when ellie comes back to the theatre dina's only instinct is to get her cleaned up. and yet its so much more than that!! she knows she can't do anything for her internally, ellie is too damaged and too lost in her trauma and i think dina always knew that and always would. but in that moment she was like i can't undo this for you i can't fix you but damn i'm going to do literally anything else i can do and in that moment, it was to just nurture her. raw natural affection. wash away all the dirt and the blood and pain and misery. what i also love about that scene is what ellie says - ''i don't want to lose you.'' what she's really saying is, i will lose you. it's inevitable. you shouldn't be with me and damn it i have been in love with you for so long and now i have you but i'm not good. i don't even think it was directed at dina, it was just a heartbreaking confession spoken aloud.

Alicent picked out Aemond’s first egg. She's nervous to pick it out but she's watched her first two children bond with their dragons and she wants the same for him. She picks out a blue and white ombre-colored egg. It bothers her that Viserys won't do it. Still, she's picked his egg and he's beyond happy when she presents it to him. It warms her heart.

Night and day, she watches Aemond care for the egg. She takes up the slack and cares for it late at night but nothing happens. She's scared. Why won't it hatch?

She's burnt her hand one night checking the burner but she hides and holds her son as he holds the egg. She will have to be the one to pry it from his fingers.

All she can do is hold him as he tries to fight back tears. Alicent doesn't understand why it didn't hatch and she can only blame herself. Was it because she was a Hightower and it sensed that? Regardless, she is determined to pick him another and she promises over and over that he will have a dragon.

the moment dina decided to leave the farm house | part 2

the full moon has every inch of the room illuminated. a sinister spotlight. there's no going back now. her back is against the closed door. she's calm. silent. she slinks to the floor and pulls her knees to her chest. how long she sat like that she didn't know. she just sat on the floorboards, arms around legs and surrounded by memories. she looks at every single object individually. every painting, every sketch, book, poster, picture, piece of paper...and then there it is. the guitar. she stares at it and it seems to stare back. neither know what to say. what could she say? what would she want to say if the guitar was suddenly her? maybe a why. but after a while the words finally find her. they've been there all along really.

I understand. 

she sat there until the dawn came. she was calm save for the tears that still continued to roll down her cheeks. she cried and she cried and she cried. because this was the last time she was ever going to cry. once she left that room, she would never go back. she'd close the door behind her and she would tuck it all away in a distant corner of her mind. she'd never be able to erase her completely, how could you erase a part of yourself? but this is what had to be done. so she gets up. she turns the knob again. she closes the door.

jj is crying, too little to understand. he thinks his mother is being mean. he doesn't understand why she can't take his bedroom wall with them with the painted lions and giraffes. your new room will have walls and i'll paint them this time, she says. he doesn't register that she's admitting she didn't paint them the first time. i could help you carry the wall, i'm really strong i promise, he tries to persuade. i know, she says.

she's holding his hand as they descend the porch stairs. all their personal belongings already at the new house kindly moved by jesse's parents. they've been so helpful and kind. they're beside themselves with excitement. dina is excited too, more for jj than herself. he'll be with his friends and his family and he'll be a part of a community. he'll go to school where his parents went to school. it's for the best.

she looks back at the house now, one final look. her eyes go to the window last. the window on the second floor, second to the right and for the first time in a long time, she says her name. i understand, ellie.

in the days that followed after ellie left, it was easy to feel nothing but hatred and anger. she'd experience it in waves, intense hatred suddenly turning into intense loss. intense sorrow to intense lonliness and so on. it took a while for those waves to calm. i know why you did. i know you had to do it. i just wish those stars you love so much had something different written for us. she walks up the steps one final time to lock the door. an old habit. but then she hesitates. she leaves it unlocked. just in case, she thinks. just in case...

Alicent knows just how big Caraxes is compared to Syrax. Like, did no one catch that? She would have to watch either Daemon fly the noodle boy, or she’s been at the dragonpit while Caraxes is out. Still meaning Daemon was around.

Meaning her and Daemon have been together. Now, I know we can't trust Mushroom. However, it's stated in Rogues which came out in 2014, that the reason Otto possibly doesn't like Daemon is because he slept with Alicent. However, it was taken back when Fire and Blood came out. Again. Mushroom just spews nonsense but I will believe this one thing.

This is my my belief. Alicent and Daemon had something. She knows a little too much on Caraxes. She acted like a girl playing hard to get when asked for her favour by him.

And because this is my Alicent and I say it happened. ALSO, THEY MATCHED WHEN HE CAME BACK. They were matching right in front of Visery while he mocked her.
