first & foremost, and most simply: yeah, actually, I can.

I would start by saying hi this is my roleplay blog, my interpretation of newt’s character, and no, we don’t know the full story, from a storytelling aspect it seems it was left vague for a reason, namely that sometimes having audience infer information creates a more immersive/involved experience with stories.

Second, I would say it’s pretty heavily implied that she did take advantage of him in some ways. it’s clear he cared for her and that he viewed them as equal in being “outcasts” at hogwarts, so to speak. Given Queenie’s dialogue, she’s referenced as “taker,” she obviously hurt him in some way. Just because exactly isn’t stated doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It’s also referenced that she is at least part of the reason he was expelled, and I don’t tend to be able see that in a forgiving light. It seems pretty clear he likely took the fall for something of her doing, or at least, in part, her doing.

tl;dr - I can just assume shit if I want given that this is my blog & also that I didn’t pull any of this out of my ass, I analyzed the narrative as it was given. If you wanna believe what you believe about it, okay. I’m not gonna fight you about it, but this is how I interpreted the heavy implications and I don’t find it to be a random assumption.

So, y’know, thanks for your concern but also I don’t really care.
