‘  is it weird that i’m naked on my sofa?  ’ for min & ji

i had 2 versions in mind for this one and,, i couldn’t resist so i wrote both!!!

version #1

"Do you want me to be honest?" He asked, looking at his phone and giggling at the sight of his very much shirtless ex-boyfriend. Maybe he was going to end up regretting not taking a screenshot later. Everything about it –about Jisung– was ethereal and Min didn't even know where to start. Forget the whole being shirtless thing, he looked fucking good and he knew it. Yeah, perhaps Min was totally going to sketch this heavenly image as soon as he was done with the one he was currently working on. "It kinda is. I mean, since it's technically not your sofa and Minho and Jae are definitely going to kill you if they ever find out."

As random as it was –and all hormonal crisis aside–, Minhyun was glad that Ji felt comfortable enough to facetime him even if it was to share silly things like that, mainly because it was actual proof that they were doing better and it felt good to know. There had been a time when Min hadn't been sure if they were ever going to be able to fix things and manage to stay in each other's lives and the fact that he knew he had no one else but himself to blame made it even worse – yet things like this showed him that not all hope was lost.

"Wait, remember when Jae kicked us out because we let Minji on it and he peed all over it? Oh man, our poor baby was so scared." He shook his head, eyes trained on specific details of the sketch he was doing. It probably didn't come as a surprise for anyone that the younger boy had never stopped being the main subject in every single one of his art projects – sketches, paintings, videos, photos, entire essays – so Min didn't actually think Ji would be surprised or bothered when he got a bit closer to his phone and frowned at the terrible video quality. "Don't mind me, I just need to get this right but– wait, I think it's the light. Ji, sweetie, you're handsome but your face looks really weird in that lighting so could you please–? Yes, thank you."

Pleased with the way he could see him more clearly, Min nodded and continued doing his thing for a few minutes before he decided he couldn't stand the silence. It wasn't an uncomfortable kind of silence per se, but he wasn't a fan of the idea of wasting any chance to hear Ji's voice. In fact, he was sure his ex-boyfriend's voice was the only sound other than music that he didn't find annoying when he was working on his art.

"Hey, not that I'm not enjoying this beautiful sight 'cause you know that I do, but I think you should go get dressed before the guys come back and kick your cute ass out?" He voiced, raising an eyebrow as he focused on getting Ji's new long messy hair right. "I mean, you can always come back home if they do. We both know for a fact that I don't mind having you naked on our sofa."

And really, he should have known better than to make such a dumb remark, but he'd been too distracted by a very specific memory to realize how inappropriate that had been.

"Sorry, is it wrong if I–?" He mumbled, choosing not to avoid eye contact because he wasn't a coward little bitch. Besides, they both knew he had meant it – and what about it? "Is it wrong if I ask you to come over?" Is it wrong if I tell you that I love you? "I just want to see you, that's all."

That being said, he picked up his pencil and continued adding small details to his drawing, hoping Ji would either agree to it or just change the topic. Maybe it was out of place, but he hadn't seen him in person in weeks and there was only so much time Min could manage to go without being face to face with the love of his life.

"C'mon, baby. Who the fuck cares what our neighbors say?" Min smirked and pulled his shirt off since everything was starting to feeling too hot. He couldn't say things had escalated the way he'd been expecting them to but he wasn't really complaining because spending time with his boyfriend chasing Minji and each other around their living room was just as good and rewarding as spending it locked up inside their bedroom the entire afternoon so yeah, he definitely wasn't complaining.

"It's just a little karaoke session, what's wrong with it? They've heard worse coming from us. They've heard both of us coming, countless times, if that makes you feel better." He whispered in Ji's ear, hugging him from behind and making sure to be as close as possible while the younger man washed their coffee mugs.

And really, all he wanted was for his boyfriend to agree to join him for a little sing along but maybe there was more to it than he was willing to admit – and what about it?

"Or would you prefer we do that instead? Either way, I'm sure we could give 'em a good show." He chuckled and pressed a kiss to Ji's neck before he finally pulled away and went back to the living room. "It's all up to you."

Whether Ji was going to join him or not, Min grabbed one of their many portable speakers and connected his phone to it, letting shuffle do its job as he started rearranging the furniture. Of course a LOONA song was the first one to start playing and damn right he was going to sing at the top of his lungs, their neighbors be damned.

"OOOOOOHHHHH, WOAH WOAH! YES I AAAAAAAM!" He screeched minutes later, using one of Minji's toys as a mic and ignoring the tiny dog barking at him, probably judging his owner for being so dumb. "I can't believe my own son doesn't support my singing career. You are so fake, Minji."

And then 5SOS' Moving Along started playing through the speakers and Min jumped on the sofa, quickly pulling his own shorts off and doing a weird but also kind-of-sexy dance just in time for his boyfriend's arrival.

"Is it weird that I'm drunken on my sofa?" He sang before pointing the plastic carrot at Ji, who apparently had decided to humor him and continued the song, making Min giggle and wait until his gorgeous boyfriend was standing in front of him to grab his face with both hands and squish his cheeks.

"Well, I'm literally half naked on our sofa and I can tell you that no, it's not weird at all. In fact, I think you should join me," he said, pulling at the hem of his boyfriend's white t-shirt until he took it off. "Get naked! See it for yourself and all that, you know? Just saying."

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Min sighed and wrapped his arm around his ex-boyfriend’s waist, pulling Ji toward him until the younger’s head was laying on his chest. “I was never mad at you, though. I was mad at myself, and I acted like a fucking idiot.” He whispered, trying to keep his voice steady because he didn’t want to start crying again. “I mean, more than usual, of course,” he chuckled softly, absentmindedly playing with Ji’s hair. “I know I’ve said it a million times, but none of it was your fault, baby. And I don’t blame you for reacting the way you did. I understand why you were angry, and I know you only did it to deal with your sadness. The sadness I caused.” He sighed and brought the love of his life closer to him, feeling the familiar warmth of his solid body. “I know me saying I’m sorry can’t fix any of my mistakes, but I swear I mean it – and I’m willing to prove it to you.”

‘  have you been eating breakfast alone like me?  ’ for min & ji!

i tried to make this as soft as possible and tbh i think it worked,, but i’m still emo because LOOK AT MY BOY TRYING TO BE A BETTER PERSON!!! perhaps i love him.

“Yes, Jisung, of course I have been alone. My life is sad and pathetic without you in it, thanks for reminding me that!” He wanted to say, but chose to keep his pettiness down and his mouth shut for the sake of avoiding an unnecessary argument. Besides, that really wasn’t the way he wanted to talk to his ex-boyfriend. Ji had done nothing to deserve such treatment.

“Uh… I mean, I’ve been really freakin’ busy preparing for finals, so I haven't been eating breakfast lately,” he said, lowering his head and scratching his neck – something he always did whenever he was nervous. He hadn’t been eating, sleeping, or functioning like a regular human being altogether since Jisung had moved out, but he had to admit that he was slowly starting to do better. “I’m always alone whenever Minji isn’t there, though. If that’s what you’re asking.”

That being said, he looked up at him and managed to smile. God, he missed him. Not just one particular thing, but more like everything. Starting from random things, like his presence in their shared apartment or the scent of his perfume, to more important things like the way he used to look at him with so much love, or how their hands always seemed to fit so perfectly together whenever they held hands. There wasn’t a single thing Min didn’t miss about the love of his life.

His therapist had said he needed to remember the two of them had been friends long before even becoming a couple, though -- and she was right. They had always been best friends above all things, so Min liked to believe that maybe, just maybe, they still had a chance. Even if it wasn’t as lovers.

“Been thinking ‘bout you lots lately.” He confessed, hoping it wouldn’t make the younger uncomfortable. Minhyun hated the awkwardness of not knowing how to act around each other. It really was the worst thing ever. “How have you been doing, Ji?”

‘stay for me.’ for min & ji

i decided to write this and make it as soft as i could bc i’m an emotional fool, but you know me..... i love angst and making my boys sad, so there’s a little bit (more like a lot) of that too!!! i’m sorry in advance 3

Minhyun couldn’t even remember how they ended up in bed together, but he wasn’t strong enough to question it — or avoid it. Jisung was his weakness, as much as Minhyun was his. No matter how fucked up it was, it seemed like they just couldn’t resist. Couldn’t help what they did to each other. Even if they couldn’t go more than 3 hours without having some sort of argument, they still loved each other. Needed each other more than anything. 

Maybe he was stupid for giving in, yet he couldn’t bring himself to regret those moments they shared. They made him feel like the old times. Like it was only the two of them against the world, and nothing could ever come between them. But most importantly, these were the only moments Minhyun wasn’t afraid to tell Jisung how much he loved him, and how he was the only one for him. He wasn’t even sure if Ji believed him, but he still said it and meant it. Too bad he was a pathetic coward, and he couldn’t step up and give his boy what he deserved. “I should go,” He said, in a voice barely above a whisper because he knew he had no right to stay there, holding the love of his life in his arms like nothing had ever happened.

But then Ji asked him to stay and, as much as Minhyun hated himself for it, that made him happy. Even if he was aware of how terribly selfish it was, he just couldn’t say no. He didn’t want to say no. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” He asked and curled his arm around Ji’s waist, tugging him closer to his body. It was Min’s way of telling him it was his last chance to kick him out, but Ji only repeated himself, clearly knowing what he wanted. What they both wanted, so Minhyun found himself agreeing. Of course. “Just don’t force yourself to stay awake.” He ordered, wrapping their legs together as he got more comfortable under the covers. He had the feeling Ji would try and avoid falling asleep just to make sure he’d stay with him, but he had nothing to worry about because Min had no intention of leaving at all. “I’ll be here when you wake up. You have my word.” That was a promise he could keep, no matter how heartbreaking it was. “Close your eyes.” He whispered, waiting until Ji did it to lean in and press a soft kiss to his lips.

It wasn’t hard for Minhyun to come to terms with the fact that his boy deserved better than someone who had to reassure him they wouldn’t leave, and it wasn’t fair that someone as good as Jisung had to settle for his dumb, twisted ways — but he didn’t know what else to do.

The truth was that Min wasn’t good enough for him, and he was afraid he would never be.

we both know i started this with one thing in mind (”WOW I HATE MIN”) but i’ll admit i finished it like “i hate him a little bit less, but he seriously needs to snap out of this annoying dumbass attitude or else i’m gonna have to fight him”

“What?” Jisung’s request had taken him by surprise. Hell, he wasn’t even supposed to be home. “First of all: fuck off, I told you to stop coming in unannounced. Second… Jisung, what the fuck?” He wasn’t too sure how to respond to it in the first place, so that meant he’d have to keep dragging it out, or act like a douchebag about it — even if he was the one that should have been begging Jisung for another chance. “Are you drunk?” He knew that wasn’t the case. “What are you talking about? Are you even listening to yourself right now?” Min looked up at him from his place next to their puppy on the floor of his bedroom and arched an eyebrow. “Even if I wanted to do that, I can’t. If anything, I’m the one that…” ‘that should be asking you to take me back.’ No, he couldn’t say that out loud. “Nevermind, forget it, but this is not about you, Jisung. It’s not something that you did, or something you could’ve stopped. The sooner you understand that…” he paused for a second, trying to collect his thoughts. “The sooner you’ll get over me.” 

‘Trust me, you’ll be better off that way. I’m doing you a favor. I love you, but I’m ruining your life and that’s why you need to stop loving me.’ he wanted to say, but he was a coward and, most importantly, he didn’t want Jisung to stop loving him. So he didn’t say a single thing. He just watched him in silence until he left. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, holding the puppy to his chest and kissing the top of his head. “Minji, I need you to do something for me, okay? Go find daddy. He’s sad and he needs cuddles.” As soon as he let him go, the tiny ball of fluff ran out of the room and stopped in front of Jisung’s door, barking until he let him in. Minhyun couldn’t be there for him, and he couldn’t call Minho or Jae to tell them to talk to Ji and distract him because both of them had blocked his number — but at least he still had Minji, and Min hoped it was enough to make him feel better.

He couldn’t lie and say that hearing those words didn’t give him a little bit of hope that they could solve their problems, but a more adult part of him couldn’t just sit there and agree with him. “That’s not true, Ji. Don’t say that.” He whispered, afraid he would cry if he raised his voice, and busied himself running his fingers through his ex-boyfriend’s hair, trying to make him feel better. They were laying in bed together after a weird afternoon with no petty arguments that ended with them having angry sort-of-make-up sex. It was one of those days where they just felt the need to be close to the other like the old times. “You also have Minho and Jae. And Minji, too. They all love you so much.” He wanted to add that he knew it wasn’t the same, but this wasn’t about him. “And that’s not all! You are so smart, Ji. You amaze me and every single person that knows you. You are one of the most brilliant people I know, in every sense of the word. You’re funny, you’re devastatingly handsome, you even smell nice all the time!” He laughed, hoping this would work. He just wanted to distract him, that was it. ”Everybody likes you, even if they’re too scared to approach you and say it. Damn, I even lost count of how many boys and girls wanted to steal you from me when we were together.” He finished with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes and took a deep breath, hoping to keep his composure. “You’re amazing just the way you are, and truth be told, you don’t need me to be all of that. I wish you could see that.”
