R.I.P: BILL WITHERS... 1938-2020 -------------------- O.K.... this is a REALLY hard one. 😪 I've been searching on the internet for hours for the picture of me and BILL WITHERS from 1997. I KNOW I posted it on MYSPACE along time ago (The social media site BEFORE ALOT OF Y'ALL were even born...) But unfortunately, I could not find it) ---------------------- However, This is my BILL WITHERS story: HE IS THE INSPIRATION for one of my BIGGEST underground HITS and my BIGGEST and most AWARDED and PRAISED Poem, "KEEP ON USING ME". ---------------------- When I let him hear it, He gave me the BIGGEST compliment one could ever recieve... HE SAID: " You have created the MOST INTELLECTUAL and Culturally Conscious version of one of my songs I have heard. YOU TELL OUR STORY WELL... Good Job !!!"🏅🥉🥉🎖🏆 ---------------------- That said to me more than ANYBODY or ANYTHING else at that Time... 🎶🎵🎼🎙 --------------------- I should've asked him to either represent me or get me a record deal... ( BACK THEN the politics were so heavy, I got HATED ON,downplayed and eventually BLACKlisted even though I was one of the dopest poem/Rap/songwriters In the CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY.) -------------------- SO IF YOU WANNA HEAR IT ( and the Album that ALMOST got me signed at the time) Go to BANDCAMP and check out : "P.O.E.T ...
