Just watched Midsommar and uh. Yeah. I'm gonna remember that one for awhile
#this is in no way negative#i really liked the movie and thought it was super interesting#florence pugh owns my heart#im actually so full of thoughts about it im just way too tired to express them rn#but the thing im most passionate about#'shss a feminist icon. christian deserved it. girl power'#NO#ive read that several times now. um. no#not the point of the movie. very much not the point. what the fuck#was christian a bad bf? yes. does that mean he deserved to get stuffed inside a bear carcass and burned alive? no#i feel like that should not be a controversial statement#also. also also also#christian was literally raped??#the women drugged and raped him??#he did not deserve that? and dani seeing that... likely sealed her decision to sacrifice him#i kinda lost where i was going with this tbh#i am just very passionate about this point#christian did not deserve what happened to him#repeat after me kids:#just because youre a shitty person does NOT mean you deserve to be raped and/or burned alive in a bear carcass#and that is just ONE point. we must also consider how dani was manipulated by the cult#and that the cult ultimately killed everyone. not dani#but no matter what dani still made the choice#she was hurt. she was manipulated. but she was still happy about it#im losing fhe ability to make sense. but im very passionate about this now#great movie tho#rape tw#murder tw#violence tw
