Soft laughter escapes her lips at the other girl’s pun as they lie in a moonlit meadow together to watch the diamond encrusted canvas of the heavens above them, her hair let loose and wild from any and all bindings. Violet had always been good to her and Clem could only hope to pay her debts to her. She had saved her on multiple occasions and stood up for her and AJ when no one else would, and for that, she couldn’t be more grateful. Luckily, though, she’d managed to make a few gifts for her, things she’d kept hidden in her bag, insisting to the blonde that they would not be opened until the end of their girl’s night.

“I love nights like these,” she confesses, “when you feel like you’re weightless and the world is thrown off of your shoulders.” she admits with a carefree smile, her golden eyes shifting from the girl lying beside her to the stars above. “Do you feel like we’re the only ones here? You know, like out there in the galaxy? Aliens, men in black, UFO’s, gods... any of that?” She cannot help but ask, a grin gracing her features. In truth, Clementine had quite a few theories on what lie beyond their known world and this was the first time she’d reveal this to someone. But in all honesty, she simply wanted to hear Violet’s opinion. It’s past dusk and deep thoughts were bound to come out anyhow; the night had a way of doing that and making people talk about deep things.
