#2025#john robb#starting to realize i'll likely be at least a little frustrated with every oasis book that comes out#(except prob jill and noel's)#bc taking a straightforward strategy of mixing article quotes from the past with more recent quotes from noel is just... bad scholarship lo#feels ridiculous to say that but it just IS okay! it is!#i'm not saying you have to treat him like a hostile witness ofc but cmonnnn#you can't just credulously smash his stories together when his stories change by the telling!#noel's truth in hindsight looks different to his truth in 2009; in 2011 etc#you need to incorporate this understanding into your narrative approach not just ignore it + collapse all space and time--#(blogger is forcibly removed from the post)
