There’s Vocaloid age discourse going around on Twitter again, and Ngl it’s making the unhindered part of my brain wanna post MeikoMiku to really throw them off.
It’s always “Omg u can’t ship luka x miku!!” Or “nooo don’t ship kaimiku!!!”
No one sayin anything about meikomiku. Loophole.

let us review the facts:
A
1. Your digimon partner is out of control & destroying everything around it - the wisest decision is to destroy it, like, within the first 10 minutes of the first episode of Symbiosis; but of course, everyone is too shocked to accept that fact (i mean like, why?? it’s destructive & its partner couldn’t make it stop anymore)
2. The chosen children are waaay too nice. If it were up to me, I’d blame everything on this Mei-Mei Duo: weak chosen child who couldn’t control the weird-ass digimon (i mean c’mon, the design for Meicoomon is a bit too extra for me...) — but noooo we’ll help you!!!11!!
3. When the pathetic girl who knows nothing buy to apologize and cry FINALLY decides to consent to her digimon partner being destroyed, I thought that’d be the end of All Our Problems! But nooooo! This girl then decides to...guess what? .............fRIGGIN’ RUN STRAIGHT TOWARDS THE BATTLEFIELD WHERE HUGE-ASS DIGIMONS ARE LITERALLY BLASTING FIREBALLS AT EACH OTHER
4. Taichi and Yamato, being the responsible leaders that they are, of course charge after Mochizuki
5. Taichi, being the one to hold the crest of courage, of COURSE asks Omegamon to protect Yamato & Mochizuki first
6. Like i said, huge-ass digimons going at each other? Not safe. See what happens? The friggin’ ground starts to crumble under the impact ffs
7. And exactly who has to fall between the cracks of said crumbling ground? Taichi. WHY did he fall in? Because he wasn’t protected by his partner digimon. Why is that? Because he wanted to protect Yamato & Mochizuki from the dangers of the battlefield (hello, crest of courage? yeah). Why were they in the battlefield, exposed to all this danger, in the first place?
BECAUSE FOR SOME STUPID-ASS REASON, THIS USELESS PATHETIC CHOSEN CHILD WHO DOES NOTHING BUT CRY AND APOLOGIZE DECIDED THAT, HEY, LETS CHARGE HEAD-FIRST TOWARDS DANGER! I WANNA SEE MY DIGIMON PARTNER BEING KILLED UP-CLOSE!
Omg i have had it with this Mochizuki character. She is useless, does nothing but cry, and then apologize for crying, and then cry again. She doesn’t know how to control her digimon partner. And when she finally does the one logical thing, which is to allow the others to kill off her digimon partner, she somehow decides to run TOWARDS the battlefield?? The fuck is wrong with this child?? AND THEN her actions caused Taichi great harm — fuck, he’s DEAD for all WE know!
And then guess what? If that’s not enough, seeing her brother disappear like that distressed Hikari enough to trigger her digimon partner to evolve to some kind of monster & fuse with the already-existing monster AND THEN bring destruction to both worlds!
Why?
Because MOCHIZUKI FUCKIN’ MEIKO DECIDED TO CHARGE INTO THE BATTLEFIELD FFS.
What, did she think her TEARS and APOLOGIES can resolve the whole thing?
For fucks sake. How can Yamato say that it’s Taichi’s own fault he got swallowed up by the ground? IT’S MEIKO’S FAULT.
I just can’t anymore. I refuse to understand how the chosen children can still forgive this weak-ass bespectacled girl.
And i have seen some posts saying, uhhh well duhhh the fandom has accepted other chosen children into The Team before, remember Willis and Ken?
I think i have the argument as to why Willis and Ken are well-liked & well-received, which is totally different from how the fandom is reactinv Mochizuki (some like her, some hate her):
1. In Willis’ case, it doesn’t feel like he is becoming part of the team. Because firstly, he spent most of his time with Daisuke and later with the 02 squad, not with the OG squad. Secondly, he is from the US, so i guess there’s that geographical factor there that further distances him from being “part of the team.” This is why I personally don’t mind Willis/am not bothered by the team fighting alongside Willis. Plus He was introduced after Michael, too, I think. So at the time of watching that movie, I already know that there are other chosen children elsewhere around the world, and that Willis was one of them. Plus he was the center of attention for only one movie, as opposed to six. So yeah, it doesn’t bother me at all.
2. Okay then let’s talk about Ken. How come people like Ken but hate Mochizuki? Well, because firstly, Ken has a VERY interesting backstory and character. He friggin’ had to deal with his parents’ favoritism towards his older brother, and then with the death of this most beloved brother — he was dealing with this at a VERY young age! So then the whole Digimon Kaiser thing went down, he suffered, he friggin’ LOST WORMMON TOO REMEMBER? and then he was accepted into the team, albeit slowly. So how come I could accept him being part of the team, but not Mochizuki? Because, when Ken joined, we’ve already accepted the 02 kids, so it felt more like expanding the team rather than replacing certain members of the team. With Mochizuki, not only did the writers friggin’ ERASED THE 02 KIDS, they let her pathetic ass have most of the spotlight! WHICH WE DO NOT NEED. BECAUS GUESS WHAT? WE HAVE 12 CHOSEN CHILDREN ALREADY, 4 OF WHOM YOU DECIDED TO ERASE.
Plus, both Willis and Ken have interesting backgrounds and personalities. Willis has a mind of his own, wants to track down and help his dangerous digimon partner who possibly wants to kill him. He didn’t feel like he needed the 02 kids’ help, but he did, in the end.
Ken, on the other hand, was an evil genius, yeah. But once he’s gotten over all that, he changed into this quiet, demure character, BUT STILL he has a spine. I remember him & Stingmon doing their own solo missions to destroy some dark towers, that is, before the 02 kids accepted him into the team (if I’m not mistaken). Point is, he fights back, he tries to redeem himself.
Both Willis and Ken did not blindly lead the team towards danger, crying and apologizing all the way.
Mochizuki, on the other hand, is a whole different story.
She is weak, pathetic, doesn’t have any personality, doesn’t even have an interesting backstory, doesn’t do anything to help improve things (she could’ve consented to Meicoomon being killed off earlier, when she saw how much destruction it is causing), couldn’t control her digimon partner, caused the 8 digimons to lose their memories due to the reboot, and last but not least, she has also probably just caused the death of Taichi.
And you still wonder why some of us despise her?
Ugh get out of my face.
