How to Set Up HP Envy 6055 Printer

unpack the printer, provide a power source to the HP Envy 6055 printer, install HP Smart app or software, link the printer to an available network, load paper, install ink cartridges, and align the printer.

Remove the printer and power cable from the case.

Connect the power cord at the back of the printer, and plug the other end to the power hub in the wall.

When you switch on the printer for the first time, it may make some noise.

Download the HP Smart app or HP Easy Start to set up printer through wired (USB) or wireless network.

Look at the labeling on the back cover of the cartridge and install the tri-color cartridge initially.

Remove the protective tape covering the electrical contacts and ink nozzles. (NOTE: The color on the locking levers should match the color displayed on cartridges.)

Slide the ink cartridges slowly into their respective slots and push it till locks into its place.

You have bought an install HP Inkjet printer and want to use it immediately. You must first install the printer with the HP printer software before printing your photos and documents. We explain how to do this in 6 simple steps.

Prepare the printer

Before you start installing your HP printer, your printer must be unpacked, connected, and protective material-free. You do this as follows:

Remove your printer from the packaging and remove all tape and protective materials from the inside and outside of the printer. Look in the manual to be sure, so you don't forget any material.

To power the printer, plug the power cord in.Turn on the printer and select the correct language on the screen.

Place a stack of paper. Note: you have to clamp the paper between 2 plastic sliders that you drive in with some versions.

The install hp inkjet printer is now on, but is not yet connected to a computer. We will explain how to connect the printer in the following steps.

Step 1. Install the cartridges

Installing the cartridges is fairly easy, but it should be done with care. First, lift the top cover of the printer. On the Envy 6234, this is located under the scanner unit. You can lift it up using the levers on the side. Remove the cartridges from the packaging and make sure you put the right color in the right place. The color is labeled on the cartridge. Remove the (orange) sticker from the cartridge and, when you hear a click, gently force the cartridge into the holder. Note that the mark must face upwards, please.Close the cover when you have installed all the cartridges.

Step 2.1: Connecting to WiFi

Go to the WiFi icon on your printer and then to 'Settings'.Please pick the Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions on the computer. It can take up to a minute to hook up your printer. You can also choose to connect the printer to WiFi via the downloaded software later in the installation process.

Your printer can print a quick guide for connecting to wireless if it still doesn't work after this step. Click the WiFi icon to do this, and then 'Settings'. Choose 'Get started printing'. The printer will now print a short manual on how to connect to the printer step by step.

Step 2.2: Connecting via a USB cable

Use a USB cable if you want to directly connect the printer to your PC or laptop without using the internet. This works quite conveniently.Plug in your laptop or PC with the ordinary, flat USB connector (USB A) and plug in your printer with the square USB connector (USB B).

Do you have a Windows device? First download the software, as explained in step 3, before connecting the USB cable. Do you have an Apple device? Then it is the other way around. Attach the USB cable first and then proceed to phase 3.

Step 3. Download the software on your laptop or PC

You have connected your printer. Now we will ensure that your computer can control the printer. For this, we install the EasyStart software from HP on your laptop or PC. In your browser, go to '123.hp.com/setup' and enter the product name of your printer, such as 'ENVY 6234'. Download the HP Smart app or download the apps for the simple desktop.

Step 4: Open HP Easy Start

Open the HP EasyStart file you just downloaded from your download folder. If you have a printer that is compatible with HP Instant Ink, the program will almost immediately ask you if you want to take advantage of your trial period. Enter your personal details to use this. You don't want a trial period, or do you have an Instant Ink subscription already? Then proceed to the next step.

Step 5: Install the software

After this EasyStart will ask you which software you want to install. Choose the 'Full apps and drivers' option if you want additional software to fix issues in addition to the simple driver. If you just want a driver, choose 'Basic Drivers'.

Step 6: Installation

Your drivers will now be installed on your computer. This will take a while, so feel free to place your feet on the desk and grab a cup of coffee. If you have not yet connected the printer to WiFi, search for your WiFi code or connect your computer with a network cable. The machine will then connect to your printer after this stage.

Shut down the printer
