HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN

2 WEEKS (i was stuck on olivine boss because i just couldnt figure out a workable strategy and i KNOW thats probably not that long in the grand scheme of things but holy fucking shit)

im already starting to forget it because holy shit but like so

i dont know how but i managed to wait long enough to get everyones ult up???

like so i might be wrong but i think the ppl who immediately guard after like attacking or doing anything really-- i *think* their basic attack has some kind of taunt? or i might be totally wrong but i made them attack if other peoples hp were low but othewrise it was a lot of GUARD GUARD GUARd and not using my ults at all and managing to tank it somehow (i swear i did this before but since then ive been trying to strengthen my characters so like. IDK)

and then i got everyones ults up so i used them all during the same turn and then he could take damage and holy fuckk 😭😭😭

in all honesty idk what i did different that let me win because i mean i think i saved my ults. but also im so fucking tired and the second i stopped needing the strategy i just completely forgot what i did besieds like a vague recollection so IDK for all i know i used my ults early

actually i think i did use my ults early. i dont know how i survived long enough for everyones ults to then get up later though 😭

..i think i used morvay and dante ult (as they both do the guarding n taunt) except i waited an extra turn before using it.

and then i think that got everyone elses ult so then i could use them all

so wait yeah i did wait i didnt use them immediately what im confusing myself

and then somehow that got everyones ult synced together?? like they all got their ult back at the same time im so confused

and idk the rhythm of when olivine attacks past turn 10 cause i was using the guide and it was like he'll debuff himself so he wont hurt your allies and im just like

????? idk maybe i did something wrong cause then both blades (who ult without guarding) got fucked. and im not sure if thats because i didnt use like a healing ult because everyone else's hp was good. idk if it wouldve made a difference or if it wouldve been wasted i have no idea

anyway i think id actually be done if there was a limit to how many turns before he insta killed. cause if that existed i think id just self destruct (i took an early screenshot in case i got killed before then, of proof of I ACTUALLY MADE IT SOMEWHERE LETS GOO)

off topic but i think there are 15 chapters? or more than 15? i read a fic which contained (light) chapter 15 spoilers and the way i felt vindicated that HELL YEAH MY PREDICTION WAS RIGHT anyway

but holy fuck 15 ???? im. i jinxed myself last time during like rin's boss fight (or it was rei's idk i did rin and rei during i think either the same day or the day after each other) cause i was like sure hope there arent any more hard bosses and then i got olivine and i just got so confused on what to do because i was struggling to figure out an actual strategy 😭

I was in a similar situation (re: helping with a family wedding for free) but the justification I got from my family was "well, you do school projects for free, don't you?" 💀 I ended up sending them quotes of professionals who do same stuff and said "this is what you'd be paying if it weren't for me btw, so even 15-25% of this would be nice" and I added that unless they show at least some shred of appreciation and gratefulness, I am dropping everything and not helping at all (even threatened to not attend the wedding itself oop). It might have been a bit much, but it did end up with me getting paid something and them backing off on the constant criticism :)

they say that it's my sister and you should never make your family pay for anything, that i should pay my parents for helping me move out, that she asked me to be her witness so it is enough or just them telling i did it was enough gratification.

and i'm like??????? i dont ask for a full freelance salary, but just a bit of money??? they harassed me so much for that, i work hours on it after work like i need a little something? idk pay for furnitures or a fridge since im moving out?????????

and on top of that apparently im gonna have to do more for her wedding as her witness, i feel like i got scammed

and them going "u do it for free for a rugby player" because 1) i'm the one who asked him if i could 2) it could land me my dream job 3) it's legit a famous person?????????? so i'm so pissed at it i decided to not contact the rugby player this week for an edit and i softblocked my family on my editing insta account

this book was half meh / half awesome, with a pinch of chapters that randomly started off with a summary of the previous chappy, like why? - but honestly knowing that it's two authors makes perfect sense💀

tbh after the first 17% / 2 hours it was a chore to pick this back up, but I'm glad I did, cos it ended up producing some pretty fun scenes, once things started going

<b>some of the highlights include:</b>

× all the sports related stuff, sometimes sports romances only touch on the sport here and there, but this book gave us a lot of practices, gym sessions, team bonding and game moments + fan interactions, tabloids and QB on insta and q frankly I ate it all up, this is the sorta stuff I wanna see in my sports romances, not just an obligatory mention of it every hundred pages or so

× QB everyone, the guy was such a cinnamon roll, but he also knew how and when to take charge, he fuckin carried this book on his big, handsome back

× the cat references on insta & irl, their date to the painting shop, the painting he did of the two of them with the backdrop of a times square that's littered with cat puns, eating maccyDs in the car wash, doing a 6 hour back & forth flight just to be in the same death trap as your crush, said crush returning the favor & visiting you at the arena, Cat surprising QB at their game in his jersey (no.9 baby), letting him know she's all in and the guy finding his play mojo and quinching that victory in the last 15s with a 32 yard TD, when he spent the past 4 quarters playing like shit & eating dirty cos he was heartbroken, helping her over the railing after the game and smooching in front of everyone then declaring his love on espn right there on the field, moving in together and hanging her paintings in their new home, creating her a workspace, just chefs fuckin kiss all of it

I could start listing the not so great, but I'm not gonna waste my time on it, (tho the BJ scene and the lead up was😭💀) I found that the good stuff made up for the not so great and it was worth wading thru, cos the highs were really high

was I the only one waiting for a Casey & Danver meet up? they would've made a 🔥duo

so yeah, this stumbled a bit, but then it also served, I'm gonna round down, but the good bits were 4/5 star material

today was a great day at the shop! it was very slow at first and there were no customers for the first like two hours and i was starting to get upset. but then so many people started going in! in the end i was only 15 chf away from the ultimate goal!!! (and by ultimate goal i mean really we don't get these kind of numbers every day so it was an extraordinary result)

the best moment of the day was when these two american ladies came in and one of them bought the céline leather jacket and it suited her sooo well! and she was like "show me something i might have missed, do you have anything unique?". and i remembered about the absolutely gorgeous versace top we received the other day. it looks a bit weird on the hanger and i was like just try it on trust me! and she did and it looked AMAZING on her! so she ended up buying it. and i was just a tiny bit sad bc i wanted to keep the top for myself but oh well.

anyway nik came to chill for a bit. he was coding in the storage room/kitchen while i was with the customers. his gf broke up with him bc he got drunk and shouted at her. it's the same story with him every time, i swear. like idk if i can be compassionate anymore. and idk how to judge him bc the first couple of times his alcohol problems and the issues related to them seemed sad. but idk if he's putting in any effort into fixing his life and becoming a better person. it's always the same shit with him.

but to be fair, it's always the same shit with me too so im not the one to judge. it was his bday party yesterday and he invited everyone to a bar. and im in my tea drinking era and really didn't feel like going. but the thing that motivated me was that it was B's favourite bar and he's there every weekend. so i, being the absolute pathetic loser clown that i am, was like "oooo i might bump into him if i go". and guess what, the first thing that nik said to me when i got there was "yeah, B was there a minute ago but i told him that you were coming so he left". like 💀💀💀 and then the night was ruined basically. bc i was paranoid the whole night. i was like omg what if B's gonna come back what if what if what if. i felt pathetic.

and it's frustrating in a way bc i feel like B must be handling the breakup so much better than me even tho im the one who left. like he doesn't watch my insta stories, he didn't stop to talk to me that one time i bumped into him by the river, he seems so much more disciplined than me... like idk. meanwhile im still obsessed and dream about him every night. and i fuel this obsession more and more like i can't stop myself.

this week im catsitting for my neighbour and again, i can't stop being a loser about it. bc ive known her and her cat (bless her!) since high school. and guess who else i knew since high school? like i have these vivid memories of going to check up on the cat and then coming out of the building and B waiting for me by the door with his bike and everything. and then going to the frog pond and passing by the petrol station to get pasta for dinner and then going to his place. and the fucking birds singing fuckk i hate those stupid birds i want them to shut up. because it takes me back to those evenings with B. and even tho this is the same building in front of which i used to take the school bus every morning when i was a kid, the only thing i can associate with it is B. despite all the other memories i have in this neighbourhood, it's always B B B.

and now i live in a different neighbourhood and listen to different music and have completely changed my wardrobe, i still have those memories ingrained in me. of me in my denim skirt and pink velvet top from bershka i bought when i was 17. him on his bike with his stupid backpack and cheeky grin. that one picture of us smiling in the countryside with wheat fields and the lignon towers behind us. the birds singing and the sun setting.
