Let's! Revolution! Impressions: Sweep Me Off My Feet
Let's! Revolution! combines Minesweeper and roguelike, and the result is a game I didn't know I needed.
Developer BUCK, Antfood • Publisher BUCK, Hawthorn Games • Release July 19, 2023 • Played On PC Now, I already knew Let’s! Revolution! was going to be the kind of game I’d be able to play for hours after playing a demo at GDC. But the game truly takes off once you complete your first run. As a hand-drawn beauty of a Minesweeper/roguelike mix, battling my way through every level to reach the…

David Blaine - Spectacle of the Real from Daniel Oeffinger on Vimeo.
ROLES: Creative Direction, Design, 2D Animation, Edit
David Blaine approached us to make an animated intro for his latest magic special, a palette cleanser to get people excited for a bumpy night ahead. Inspired by David’s mind-bending magic and the Paul Auster penned script which was voiced by Christopher Walken in the style of a side-show barker, we crafted a hero’s journey of sorts, a psychedelic trip into the spectacle of the real.

Abu Dhabi GP 2024 Key Visual Animation from Woodwork on Vimeo.
In the 2024 F1 season, we continued our collaborated with Ethara to build upon the foundations we set in 2023, taking our visual identity into its next evolutionary stage and elevating it to unprecedented heights. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix stands as the zenith of F1 racing, encapsulating the essence of the sport in the grandest event of the year. It is a fusion of competition, sportsmanship, music, and culture, all coming to life at the Yas Marina in a week filled with unparalleled excitement.
This year, our theme revolves around the concept of "Be More" — an exploration of the inner drive and ambition that propel us toward self-improvement, challenging us to surpass our limits and elevate our potential. This notion is vividly brought to life in our brand film, which delves into the internal struggle to forge a superior version of oneself.
Our creative approach materialises through the juxtaposition of darkness and light, serving as a metaphor for this internal conflict. On the graphical front, we have expanded our visual language beyond traditional 2D graphics, introducing a dynamic transformation where the racetrack leaps from a flat surface to a vibrant 3D particle system. This transition forms the cornerstone of our graphic toolkit, setting a new standard for our visual narrative.
The audio was produced by Antfood.

Onward Internet from phibs on Vimeo.
I had the pleasure of designing and animating 2.5 quintillion bytes of data! Most of the heavy lifting of animation was done by whizz kid Sander (sandervandijk.tv) to help bring my design to life. He animated all the little bits in after effects with his coder-fiend ways, and I pieced it altogether as textures in Cinema 4D.
