Tell me, Lady Margaret. How shall we find the strength to bear the wrongs people do us? George and Warwick murdered my father and brother in cold blood, so why should George fare any better?

Mr. Rochester and Pilot from "Jane Eyre" 2006 version.
Did you know that this scene is later reused in 2016 BBC audio drama version of the same title (Amanda Hale and Tom Burke)?

Diana’s untrained magic makes the snake on Mary's shoes spring to life.
Matthew is quick to cover it up with a smile - the pesky snake must have come in from the garden. Sure Matthew - no-one is buying that one.
Episode 2 of ‘A Discovery of Witches’ season 2 #RealTimeWatch
Matthew Goode as Matthew Roydon in ‘A Discovery of Witches’ with Teresa Palmer and Amanda Hale.
📷 ADOW S2:02 my edit - new version. I've done so many of these it's kind of embarrassing 🤦

TWQ 10th Anniversary
THE WHITE QUEEN 10-Year Anniversary Week
->Most Underrated Character
The White Queen features a huge ensemble cast to fill out its storyline of romance and palace intrigue and betrayal. Most of these characters are drawn directly from actual history, and while some are either shown out of context or don't appear long enough to make any real impact, the one undeniable--and perhaps most underrated--character is surely Thomas Stanley, Earl of Derby. His first appearance is as Margaret Beaufort's third husband. She marries him to secure her son's safety, and he marries her because she's fabulously wealthy. This is about as convenient a marriage as any in the 15th century.
If anyone but Rupert Graves had played the part, Stanley would have been entirely forgettable. But the actor brought such charm and wit to the role that everything from his knowingly arched eyebrows at Margaret's vow of chastity to his sardonic grin at all her machinations became imprinted on my brain. It only seems appropriate then that Stanley should have been the one to topple the entire house of Yorkist cards and hand Henry Tudor the throne.

Bennet Drake is a good friend
I'm on my nth watchthrough of S3 and just made the connection between something Drake says in S3E4 Your Father, My Friend and a Reid line in S1E2 In My Protection.
Drake identifies himself to a Mathilda in S3E4 by saying, "Uncle Ben, who bought you strawberry ices on Petticoat Lane each Sunday. [...] Each weekend, we would do the same, Mathilda, you and I. 'Strawberry ices with Uncle Ben' is what you would say."
Back in S1E2, Reid comes on to his wife while she serves soup at the church, telling Emily, "These, er, places, will ever make me think of you. The bells clanging, the faithful falling to their knees. And you and I at home, careless of God, abed in our sweat. I would have those Sundays back."
Drake babysat Mathilda so Mr. and Mrs. Reid could get it on. O.O
That's a good friend.

I listened to Rachel Joyce's dramatisation of Jane Eyre on Audible, which passed a couple of hours but I felt was changed just a little too much for my taste. (Who messes with "Reader, I married him" for heaven's sake? I don't care if it's a dramatisation and doesn't make sense. I wanted to hear it 😁)
I thought Amanda Hale did a fine job of Jane falling in love with Rochester and Tom Burke was lovely but he's no good at pretending to be a female fortune teller. Miss Ingram would have recognised his voice and not fallen for the trick. Good to find something he can't do!
I have started listening to Dracula on Audible and rereading The Bell Jar, which I read as a teenager and have almost completely forgotten.
