This is where the sad moment happens before we get our happy ending.

Because she is across the street, Sol can see the taxi cab careening towards Sun Jae.

She would be standing near a crosswalk in this case and the walk light happens to turn green right at this moment. So she rushes across the road.

This is where I had reference other dramas for a better shots. This is from Go Back Couple. So imagining Sol as Ban Do (or the guy), she is able to push Sun Jae out of the way, but does not have time to get out of the way herself.

She is hit and flung forward several feet.

This impact causes the taxi driver to crash into median in the road. Tae Sung does not get injured in this case, but the taxi driver is still able to escape his hold before meeting his end following canon.

Note here - Tae Sung does realize that Sol is the one to get hit, but steels himself to catch the killer first.

Sun Jae also collapses to the ground after being pushed out of the way by Sol.

Sol is looking at Sun Jae. He turns his head towards her, the two of them making eye contact. Sol smiles a sad smile with a drop of tear running running down her face. She whispers "I love you, Sun Jae." before closing her eyes.

Sun Jae reaches out one hand to Sol before it drops to the ground. And we hear "I love you too, Sol-ah" as the screen fades to black.
