Whether they were looking to arrive in Germany in style or simply marking the occasion with a group photoshoot, the national teams at Euro 2024 were showing off their fashion in the build-up to the tournament. Let's take a look at some of the fits.
In no particular order:
Denmark NT
Beige, beautiful but boring- the suit looks good but overall this seems a little too safe. Have some fun Denmark!
Netherlands NT
Utilitarian! A laidback but put together look, this looks like a mega boy band poised to take over the world but somehow also like a plumbers firm taking a company picture for their new website.
France NT
Elegant and expected, France did not feel the need to reinvent the wheel nor did they have to, they look flawless.
Hungary NT
A little unexpected but still a nice look, a very welcome change from the usual suit and jacket. Dominik Szoboszlai is giving ‘my father will hear about this’ country club realness with the sweater over the shoulder look.
England NT
We can see what they were trying to do but the execution wasn't the best. Having one half of the team wear beige and the other half in black was already a bold choice but when you add the different jackets and shirts with the different necklines it all ends up looking just a tad too disorganised. Call us old fashioned but we think a team event is the perfect time to have everyone match.
The whole thing seems to have confused poor Aaron Ramsdale who clearly didn't quite understand the memo and decided to do his own thing.
Poland NT
Unfortunately this doesn’t quite do it for us. Perfect for a casual summer dinner with the family but maybe not stylish enough for a grand entrance at the Euros.
Slovakia NT
Unexpected but a little badass. The all black has the potential to be a bit underwhelming, but the heavier fabric of the shirt as well as the pocket detail add some dimension to the outfit. Sure, there's some underworld vibes being given off but we can't deny that they look good.
Slovakia came dressed like they mean business!
Germany NT
Another casual look but still stylish. The outfit works best without a jacket in our opinion, the knit top is just 🧑🍳💋.
Portugal NT
Another navy blue suit but not quite as flawless as France (womp womp). Maybe Portugal can do a repeat of 2016 and best them where it really matters?
Note: This is all done in fun and just our opinions. Feel free to let us know who you think looked best or if we missed any other teams that ditched the sportswear who you think looked good.
